Tribulation [Inspired by Prov1:21-33]

I’ve called, but you won’t listen
Reproof you have abhorred
My counsel disregarded
My outstretched hand ignored

For this I will not answer
When you call on My name
I’ll laugh at your calamities
You’ll call on Me in vain

When fear comes as a torment
I’ll mock you to your shame
In your distress and anguish
You’ll call on Me again

You’ll seek, but you won’t find Me
You’ll plead, but I won’t hear
You’ll reap the bitter harvest
Of the seeds that you hold dear

But those who love My knowledge
And choose to fear My Name
Will dwell with Me forever
In love that will not wane
