Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the Heavens, Jesus, the Son of GOD, let us hold fast to our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly to the Throne of Grace, that we might obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. [Heb 4:14-16]
Jesus understands our every weakness, and how easy it is to fall into temptation, because He was tempted too. On the cross, He took all our sin and transgressions and nailed it in His own body to the cross. There is nothing that we have done, or will do, that He doesn’t already know. It is His blood that is forever on the Mercy Seat. It is His blood that has washed us whiter than snow, leaving no trace of sin. When we come into the presence of GOD, we come as blood washed, blood bought children of the Most High GOD. That is why GOD’S unending grace [His unmerited favour and blessing] is always available to us.
When we can comprehend this, our consciences will stop condemning us, reminding us of past sin and telling us that we are unworthy to receive anything significant from our Heavenly Father. It is then that we will feel free to come boldly before the throne of God.
Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me
Worship His Holy Name
Bless the Lord, oh my soul, glorify the King of Glory
For He forever stays the same
Bless the Lord, oh my soul and forget not all His benefits
Lift up His Holy Name
Bless the Lord, oh my soul, for He forgives all your iniquities
He has broken every chain
Bless the Lord, oh my soul for He has healed all your diseases
Give thanks to His Holy Name
Bless the Lord, oh my soul, for He’s redeemed you from hell
His is all the splendour and the fame
Bless the Lord, oh my soul, He crowns you with loving kindness
His sure mercies enfold your frame
Bless the Lord, oh my soul, for He fills your mouth with good
So that your youth is renewed once again
As the heavens are high above the earth
So great is God’s mercy toward those who fear Him
And as far as the east is from the west
So far has the Lord cast away all our transgressions
As fathers show kindness toward their children
The Lord has compassion on all those who fear Him
He remembers that we are subject to time
For He knows we are dust, He remembers our origin
Our days are like grass, as a flower of the field
So we’re born and we flourish and then we are gone
Like a fragile flower in the force of the wind
And by many we’re forgotten before too long
But the mercy of the Lord endures forever
Toward all of His people who fear His Name
And His justice toward all our descendants
The children of the Covenant living in His reign
The Lord has established His throne in Heaven
And His Kingdom rules over all of His dominion
Bless the Lord all angels who do the Lord’s will
Bless the Lord all you hosts, in perfect unison
There’s no such thing as luck or chance
They are the devil’s lie
There are blessings, there are curses
This truth we can’t deny
Though you might fail, you’re not a failure
Unless you just give in
Though setbacks happen, don’t give up
Seek wisdom and you’ll win
In Christ is found all wisdom
Knowledge, understanding too
This is the answer for success
In everything you do
There are four spiritual forces
From which all emanates
Faith, love of God and righteous
And wisdom are innate
There will be no angry dark clouds
Darkening the Earth
No strong winds causing havoc
That was part of the curse
No turbulent tornadoes
Tearing buildings down
No storms, no fearsome floods
Which cause so many folk to drown
No wrathful streak of lightning
Destroying fields of wheat
No tremors and no earthquakes
No more gang fights in the street
No wars, no senseless murders
No more hatred will abound
No more famines, no more fires
No more weeds defile the ground
There will be no tears of sorrow
Roll down a mother’s cheek
No grave to hold a loved one
No-one old, nor sick, nor weak
No vicious beast to harm us
No drought, no barren land
No snow to chill our bodies
No fog, no sinking sand
No more parting from our loved ones
No more sorrow, no more pain
No fear, no colour barriers
No more filth and no more shame
No hot sun, no more volcanoes
No night, no Hurricane
No serpent there to tempt us
No perversion, no more sin
There will be a golden city
Prepared by God’s own hand
So magnificent a glory
Never seen upon the land
No such wonder ever entered
Into the hearts of men
That which is waiting for us
In the new Jerusalem
In the beginning the chosen bride
Enticed by sin, left her Husband’s side
Scorned the light she was clothed in as dung
To her shame she stood naked, this fallen one
By her deed she caused havoc throughout the earth
And to all sickness and death she gave birth
A world steeped in darkness, her legacy
And only one person could set mankind free
Jesus gave His own life on a rugged cross
Brought life eternal, removing the dross
In light clothed His people with loving care
To shine in this world with a beauty that’s rare
Now in the last days our Saviour‘s Bride
Stands faithfully at her Bridegroom’s side
If they could, evil powers would intervene
But they can never part her from Him
The beginning of wisdom
Is fear of the Lord
Consistent obedience
Is wisdom matured
Through study comes knowledge
Understanding’s received
Through the eyes of your heart
As God’s Word is conceived
Understanding brings wisdom
And counsel and might
And fear of the Lord
As in truth you delight
Satan’s fear is growing stronger
And his power is growing weaker
Frantically his roar grows louder
And his strategies ever freakier
Viciously he plunders mankind
Our destruction is his aim
But he fights a losing battle
Still believing he will reign
His deception fills the darkness
And the masses follow after
All evil propaganda
Filling Hell with hellish laughter
Seven years of untold havoc
People will cry out to die
But the Lord will then return
And all will hear His battle cry
Israel will be saved as Glory
Rises up against her foe
Evil will be totally banished
For a thousand years I know
Then the devil and his followers
Make one last attempt to reign
As they march toward Mount Zion
But they’re conquered by the Lamb
Next will be the Day of Judgment
When all stand before the throne
To be judged for their dismissal of
The Lamb upon the throne
Then the devil, the false prophet
Death, the beast, and everyone
Not in the book of Life
Into the lake of fire are flung
But the glory that awaits us
In the New Jerusalem
Is more than we can imagine
In the City of our King
