Storm Clouds

Though storm clouds clothe the sky in gloom
Beyond them lies the sun
Though oft our lives seem worthless
There’s hope for everyone

Though oft’ our hearts are broken
There’s healing for each wound
The Healing balm of Gilead
To patch up lives once ruined

Though there is death around us
We’ve life abundantly
For Jesus took our sin away
Through death at Calvary

Old Garments

Don’t put on your old garments
Don’t wear your robes of fear
Don’t wear your robes of vengeance
Those robes have no place here

Stop wearing unforgiveness
Don’t wear your robes of grief
Don’t wear self-righteousness or scorn
Don’t put on unbelief

Don’t wear your memories of the past
Which cause you guilt and shame
Don’t wear the thoughts that bring you down
And cause you so much pain

Don’t wear your robes of prejudice
Don’t wear your robes of pride
Don’t wear your robes of lust and greed
Let bondage be denied

His blood removed these filthy robes
Through grace He set us free
And gave us robes of righteousness
To wear eternally

So why dig out the sin stained rags
When Jesus came to give
Abundant life and victory
A whole new way to live

So Often We’re Hurt

So often we’re hurt in the house of our friends
Betrayed by the ones we hold dear
And we can’t comprehend their maliciousness
For their motives are often obscure

So often a knife cuts deep in our soul
And we’re wary of trusting again
So we shun anybody who tries to get close
Not wanting to suffer our aim

Christ Jesus was also betrayed by His friends
And wounded by them unto death
But He cried for forgiveness for what man had done
Gave us life with His dying breath

We need to learn a lesson from Him
And forgive those who do us wrong
We need to break down the walls we’ve built up
And in love we need to stay strong

Speak Words of Life

Speak words of life, not bondage
Your words are a powerful force
They can set you free, or chain you
Your words will set the course

You set spiritual laws in motion
By every word spoken aloud
Be careful of idle words you speak
Speak words of faith, not of doubt

Pray the solution, not the problem
And never speak defeat
Never speak in condemnation
Never speak words of deceit

Your words, like electricity
Can bring forth pain or gain
Control your tongue and it will bring
Prosperity, not shame

And always be Word conscious
Every spoken word is seed
Whether seeds of good or evil
So to every word give heed

Satan’s Fear

Satan’s fear is growing stronger
And his power is growing weaker
Frantically his roar grows louder
And his strategies ever freakier

Viciously he plunders mankind
Our destruction is his aim
But he fights a losing battle
Still believing he will reign

His deception fills the darkness
And the masses follow after
All evil propaganda
Filling Hell with hellish laughter

Seven years of untold havoc
People will cry out to die
But the Lord will then return
And all will hear His battle cry

Israel will be saved as Glory
Rises up against her foe
Evil will be totally banished
For a thousand years I know

Then the devil and his followers
Make one last attempt to reign
As they march toward Mount Zion
But they’re conquered by the Lamb

Next will be the Day of Judgment
When all stand before the throne
To be judged for their dismissal of
The Lamb upon the throne

Then the devil, the false prophet
Death, the beast, and everyone
Not in the book of Life
Into the lake of fire are flung

But the glory that awaits us
In the New Jerusalem
Is more than we can imagine
In the City of our King

Most Times

Most times when we are praying
We ask so many things
Not really necessary
Of our Lord, the King of kings

Then, when our request’s not granted
We feel we’ve been let down
That He has failed to hear us
And unworthy thoughts abound

But if our Saviour granted
Each request we put to Him
Would it really make us happy
And draw us away from sin

Or would we think of Jesus
As a Genii in a lamp
And let our greed destroy us
Good intentions then recant

But like a Father with his child
Our Father knows what’s best
He knows which things would harm us
And with which we would be blessed

Prepare Yourselves

Prepare yourselves, be ready
For the Master’s on His way
He’s coming to reward us
It will be a glorious day

We have clothed ourselves for battle
We have fought the enemy
In all the might and power
Of our King had victory

In sacrifice and fasting
We’ve made ready for our King
Purifying flesh and spirit
Our lives a fragrant offering

We’ve made a separation
From evil Babylon
There is no power of darkness
We’ve been afraid to trample on

We will hear the Master calling
We will see Him in the clouds
We will rise to meet Him in the air
Amidst our joyful shouts

The dead in Christ will hear Him
And precede us to the sky
We will feast at Heaven’s table
In the sweet by and by

In The Glory

In the GLORY there’s no sorrow
In the GLORY there’s no pain
When we enter into GLORY
There’s no regret, nor shame

In the GLORY there is wholeness
In the GLORY there is peace
There’s abundant life and victory
There’s prosperity and increase

In the GLORY there’s no sickness
GLORY burns the dross away
In the presence of God’s GLORY
We need live from day to day

Christ in us, the Hope of GLORY
Will cause us to enter in
As we keep our eyes on Jesus
And by faith we wait on Him

Stand in faith whenever darkness
Tries to kill steal and destroy
Stand in Christ’s resurrection power
And full victory enjoy

Offence is the Bait of Satan

Offence is the bait of Satan
To trap you in sin’s snare
Sometimes it is caused by those
For whom you really care

Offence can be the product
Of your own imagination
Or refusal to accept rebuke
When it is rightly given

Hurt, betrayal and affliction
Will produce ungodly fruit
If we choose to focus on these things
Keep focused on the good

Insults, strife, outrage, resentment
Envy, jealousy and rage
Bitterness, division, wounding
Are produced in Satan’s cage

Sowing discord among brethren
Drawing others into sin
Through your gossiping and slander
Is a game you just can’t win

When you let the truth offend you
It can’t heal or let you grow
You just open doors to curses
When offence will not let go

Fear of hurt builds walls around you
Unconditional love won’t flow
Unforgiveness stops God’s blessing
For we reap the things we sow
