Love Does Not Gossip

Love does not gossip
Is never unkind
Love does not envy
And love isn’t blind

Love is forgiving
Love’s patient and strong
Not boastful, nor proud
Keeps no record of wrong

Love isn’t self-seeking
Self-centered, or rude
Not easily angered
Love always does good

Love never slanders
Love covers all sin
Love does not cause discord
Love does not wear thin

Love joys not in evil
Rejoices in truth
Prefers one another
Is never uncouth

Love always protects
Trusts, hopes, perseveres
Love never fails
And Love never fears

You Showed Me a Rainbow

You showed me a rainbow
While I sat upon my bed
It made a full arc
In the sky overhead

In that instant I remembered
Your first rainbow in the sky
A reminder of each promise
That You gave us, Adonai

For Your promises true
Not one Word can ever fail
That Your holy mouth has uttered
Your Word always will prevail

And I know that I can stand
Having done all, Lord, to stand
For You guide me into victory
By Your unchanging hand

Who of Us Can Dwell [Inspired by Isa 33:14-16]

Who of us can dwell
With Consuming Fire
Or can dwell
With Everlasting Burning

He who walks righteously
Speaking what’s right
He who rejects gain
From oppression’s might

He who keeps his hand
From accepting bribes
And turns his ears
From plots of murder

He whose eyes
Will never contemplate evil
Who will not join
In causing upheaval

This is the man
Who will dwell on the heights
His refuge will be
The fortress of rocks

His bread will be
Supplied every day
And his water will
Never waste away

Yesterday is But a Dream

Yesterday is but a dream
Its suffering and despair
Are left behind, a nightmare
No longer do I care

For dreams are passing shadows
Reality is now
Tomorrow’s cares are yet to come
I’ll manage them somehow

But I am living in today
Within its joys and woes
Knowing I am not alone
My every thought God knows

And if I share each moment
With Him, I can’t go wrong
He puts a spring in every step
Within my heart a song

When Evil Men Fear Greatly

When evil men fear greatly
They’re quick to call on God Most high
And use their mouths to flatter You
Their every word a lie

Their hearts remain unfaithful
To the Covenant made in love
Their hearts are never loyal
They simply want help from above

Then as soon as they’ve been rescued
And they’ve nothing left to fear
They forget about their promises
Not one do they hold dear

How much longer will You tolerate
All the evil men incurred
Before Your wrath fills all the earth
According to Your Word

Not Wanted

They’ve kicked You out of governments
They’ve kicked You out of schools
And even out of countries
Where Godless leaders rule

They’ve kicked You out of families
In the work place, You’re taboo
And blasphemy’s the only way
These people speak of You

Most schools deny You entrance
Evolution is their truth
And no-one understands
When scholars learn to be uncouth

Millions are the victims
Of abortion in this day
And assisted suicides
Are now the legal way

And yet when things go wrong
They’re quick to say: Where was God then
Then they become indignant
And give You all the blame

When will man learn to fear You
And revere Your holy Name
They want to take, but never give
And yet they have no shame

You Defend the Weak and the Fatherless [inspired by Ps 82:30; 113:7-8]

You defend the weak and the fatherless
You maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed
You rescue the weak and the needy, oh Lord
In Your shadow they find perfect rest

You deliver Your own from the hand of the wicked
And Lord, You give them the power to rise
When the evil one seeks to trample them down
You are quick to knock him down to size

You raise the poor from the dust of the ground
The needy You take from the ash and lift high
The barren womb You make fertile for those
Who call on You for You hear their cry

I give You praise for the works of Your hand
I lift up Your Name for You understand
Our joys and our sorrows for You know each heart
Yet in mercy and love You’ve set us apart

They Covered Your Eyes

They covered Your eyes so that I might see
Taking turns they slapped Your face viciously
These evil deeds by the Pharisees
Were their works of hatred and jealousy

You endured the cross and the shame for me
They stripped You naked that I might be
Clothed in Your righteous robes, free of sin’s grip
And You gave Your back to the soldier’s whip

The whip cut through till Your bones were revealed
And by Your awful scourging my body is healed
You flesh hung in ribbons, Your blood gushed out
Your face was disfigured; Your beard was plucked out

The cruel crown of thorns they forced onto Your head
Renewed my mind from the realm of the dead
The thorns tore Your flesh and pressed down on Your skull
Hair matted with blood as a soldier’s blows fell

The works of my hands were sanctified
As they nailed Your hands to the cross in great pride
When the soldiers nailed Your sinless feet
My path of life was made complete

The skies grew dark in those awful hours
As Your body and mind were attacked by the powers
Of every demon and You were made sin
That I might be GOD’S righteousness and enter in

When Your side was pierced, blood and water ran free
The sign of a heart that was broken for me
And as with Adam, out of Your side
GOD formed Your beautiful, sinless Bride

The Good Man

The good man brings things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgement for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted and by your words you will be condemned. [Matt. 12:35-37]
Most people limit this Scripture to blasphemy, gossip, lies, deceitfulness, foul language, verbal abuse and people plotting evil. If only it were that simple, it would apply mainly to the unsaved.
This Scripture, however, applies to anything that is contrary to the Word of GOD. (Rom3:4) Let GOD be true and every man (speaking against His Word) a liar.
(1 Peter 2:24) ….by Whose stripes (scourging) you were healed
We are not to speak illness or infirmity over ourselves. For instance: I have a blinding headache. Instead, speak the finished work of the cross. Tell the headache to go in the Name of Jesus as it has no place in you because by the stripes of Jesus you were healed. If the pain doesn’t leave instantly, don’t doubt. Stand in faith and give GOD praise and thanks and it will flee. Just believe.
(Mark 11:23)…….whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. If you are in a financial crises quote the Scriptures regarding prosperity daily, even several times daily, until it resonates with your spirit. In every situation, when you can see it, its yours.
Saying: I can’t, it’s impossible, I’ll never recover, I’m never going to make it, are contrary to the Word. (Php 4:3) I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me.
(Hosea 4:6) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. (2 Peter 1:3) His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him Who called us by His own glory and goodness.
(Prov 18:21) Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Those who love it will eat the fruit thereof.
Never condemn yourself for falling short at times. Like a strong soldier, pick yourself up and carry on fighting the good fight of faith.
It’s all a learning process even as it is a faith walk. GOD has given us all the same measure of faith. Holy Spirit indwells us, so everything in Him is in us. The seed of faith is planted within us and within that seed is the potential eternal supply of mustard trees. All we need to do is water it every day by the waters of the Word and the life giving waters of Holy Spirit within our bellies. We do that by (Eph 5:18-19) And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs and making melody in your heart to the Lord. When you do these things it’s called meditation. That is how the Word becomes one with your spirit until all you say is in line with the Word of GOD.
Don’t forget to pray to the One who loves you so much that rather than live without you, He died in your place, bearing all your sin so that you could be with Him eternally.
Have a wonderful, blessed day.

Was Ever Any Friend so True

Is anything too hard for God
One thing He cannot do
Is anything beyond His power
He makes all things anew

No demon power can conquer Him
They tried on Calvary
But they just couldn’t keep Him down
He rose in victory

There’s none can pluck you from His hand
Once He has set you free
None of His children are cast out
He paid the price, you see

Just give Him all the love you can
He’s given all for you
In Him you’ll go from strength to strength
In everything you do
