Jesus is compassionate
He will not turn away
He wants the very best for us
Just call on Him today
Jesus is omniscient
He knows our every need
He will not leave us desolate
Because we are His seed
Jesus is almighty
He is our Warrior King
He’ll win our every battle
If we’d just turn to Him
Is anything too hard for God
One thing He cannot do
Is anything beyond His power
He makes all things anew
No demon power can conquer Him
They tried on Calvary
But they just couldn’t keep Him down
He rose in victory
There’s none can pluck you from His hand
Once He has set you free
None of His children are cast out
He paid the price, you see
Just give Him all the love you can
He’s given all for you
In Him you’ll go from strength to strength
In everything you do
Was ever any friend so true
Was any man so faithful
Was anyone so full of love
Was even one so stable
Unchanging through the changing years
His love is sure and strong
Though other lovers change their minds
And often do you wrong
His arms are always opened wide
When you need loving care
He’ll never turn His back on you
Nor leave you standing there
The cruelty of the doctors
In the suffering that they cause
Is not a secret thing that’s done
Behind their sterile doors
Healthy, living, unborn babies
Kicking in the mother’s womb
Are prematurely brought to birth
To torture and to doom
Brains sucked out while they are conscious
Till their tiny heads collapse
Spinal fluids taken from them
Murdered by atrocious acts
By the scalpels of the doctors
Babes are cut up in the womb
No-one sees their pain filled faces
As they’re murdered in the gloom
Then there’s the vacuum method
Limbs torn of the innocents
How is it there’s no compassion
In this world so lost in sin
Oh, the agony that they suffer
There’s no mother’s loving breast
For the arms that should protect them
Have betrayed them unto death
None conceived by their own doing
Tortured for the parents’ sin
Parents playing judge and jury
Who can then appeal for them
Lord, loose the bonds of slavery
Please break the chains and set us free
May all the people be as one
May the barriers all fall down
May evil flee before Your face
Please free our souls from sin’s disgrace
Lord, free our minds from prejudice
And fill our hearts with tenderness
Whether brown or black or white
Please fill us with Your wondrous light
Unite us in Your perfect love
Until we all fit hand in glove
Like dogs of the wild
They tore at Your flesh
And plucked out Your beard
In a frenzy for death
Unsightly, disfigured
By hands cruel with hate
Was it sane that these actions
Their hearts could elate
Barbaric, demonic
Unthinkable deeds
Yet allowed by the Father
To meet all our needs
These atrocities caused
By our fall from God’s grace
And love made You suffer
And die in our place
All the powers of darkness
Rejoiced at Your pain
Determined to kill You
But You rose again
Now they tremble in unbridled
Anger and fear
Knowing You’ve won
And that judgment is near
At the time that’s appointed
All creatures shall bow
And confess You are Lord
And Yours all the power
Born without the stain of sin
Rejected and despised by men
A tender shoot in desert sand
He flourished in God’s mighty hand
He never caused another pain
He never sought for worldly gain
Yet He was hated, mocked and feared
But also loved and much revered
He bore our sorrows, bore our pain
Bore our infirmities and shame
He bore our illness and disease
And caused the dragon’s reign to cease
All our sin and misery
Nailed in His body to a tree
He set us free from death and Hell
Because our Saviour loves us well
