I Confronted the Enemy of my Soul

I confronted the enemy of my soul
And I took back all that he stole
In every area of my life
He’s tried to cause mayhem and strife

 The enemy’s underneath my feet
I laugh in derision at his defeat
He came to steal, kill and destroy
But all he’s managed is to annoy

He sees me as a human being
But I’m a daughter of the King
Eternal spirit clothed in skin
And I have victory over him

For Jesus Christ has made me whole
To be like Him is my life’s goal
I walk within His power and might
And daily I am His delight

Love is the Father

Love is the Father creating the Earth
Creating the Universe
Love is the Father creating man
Love is God’s perfect plan

Love is Christ Jesus being virgin born
In a stable, Christ suffering scorn
Love is my Lord laying hands on the sick
The Christ giving strength to the weak

Love is my Saviour falsely accused
In silence accepting abuse
Love is Christ Jesus, scourged, mocked and in pain
Spat upon, bruised and shamed

Love is the crown of thorns that He wore
The cruel cross that Jesus bore
Love is His grace on the cross to a thief
His death for our unbelief

Love is the gaping wound in His side
The Bridegroom’s love for His Bride
Love is forgiveness for all of our sin
Our life everlasting with Him

Thank-you that You have made us Your righteousness through Christ Jesus.
Thank-you for writing our names in Your Book of Life.
Thank-you that we are Your children and that no-one and nothing can pluck us out of Your hand.
Thank-you that You are our omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, GOD and the Father of us all.

If We Sow Thorns

If we sow thorns, we will not reap roses.
Seeds always bring forth after their own kind.
Be careful of the seeds you sow and always sow them in love. Sow seeds of kindness and compassion. A smile can warm the coldest heart. A kind word spoken can bring fresh hope and can turn around a life bent on self destruction. Think carefully before you sow seeds. Life and death are in the power of the tongue.

Who is Like Our LORD [Inspired by Psalm 113:5-8]

Who is like the LORD our GOD, the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?
He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; He seats them with princes, with the princes of their people.
He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children.
Praise the LORD. Psalm 113::5-8
Our GOD who is omnipotent, whose throne is above the heavens and earth, who stoops down to look upon this entire universe, knows each of us by name and even knows the number of hairs on our heads. This omniscient GOD sees everything at a glance, even the smallest life form deep within the earth and in the depths of the seas. He sees the hidden tears shed in silence and hears them when they fall. There is nowhere too dark for His light to penetrate, nor too distant for him to see. This omnipresent GOD is with each one of us,seeing our strengths and our weaknesses, our darkest deeds and our deepest desires. There is nothing hidden from His sight. He sees the needs of the homeless and the needy who trust in Him and provides them with food and shelter. He lifts them out of their world of hopelessness and sets their feet on solid ground. He hears the cries of the barren woman who trusts in Him and makes her a happy mother of children.
Our GOD alone is worthy of all praise.Bless His holy Name.

Threshing Sledge

“See, I will make you into a threshing-sledge, new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff. You will winnow them, the wind will pick them up and a gale will blow them away. But you will rejoice in the LORD and glory in the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 41:15-16
God has given us the authority and the power of Holy Spirit who indwells us, to remove all the obstacles of the enemy. He has given us His armour and His sword. We should not complain to GOD about everything. We need to thresh the mountains that stand in our way and allow the wind of Holy Spirit to blow them into the sea. He has given each of us the measure of faith. We are not to look at the size of Mustard Seed faith, but rather we should look at its potential. That was the point that Jesus was making when He said how big the mustard tree grows. When we put our trust in GOD, all things are possible.

When the Mountain’s too High

When the mountain’s too high
And we can’t tunnel through
And we seek Your face
But the pain blocks our view
When we stand on Your Word
Having done all to stand
Till our knees start to shake
And we can’t understand
We can’t help but wonder
What’s taking so long
But we hold to Your promise
And pray to be strong
Then all of a sudden
The mountain falls down
As it’s threshed and it’s winnowed
To dust on the ground
And all we can do
Is fall down on our knees
And give thanks to You, Father
For our victories

Your Love Is All Encompassing

Your love is all encompassing
There’s no prejudice in You
Regardless of the circumstance
Your love will see us through

Your love is never ending
All love has its source in You
It’s love that drew You to this earth
To give us life anew

Your love is deeper than the oceans
And higher than the skies
Encompassing all space and time
Can’t calculate its size

Your love reaches all of Heaven
Angels worship and adore
At the wonder of Your endless love
And bow their heads in awe

Your love embraced the pain You suffered
At the hands of evil men
As they nailed You to the rugged cross
You prayed for all of them

Your love held nothing back, You gave Your all
With painful breath
Forgave a dying thief
And having paid sin’s price faced death

No hatred could have kept You down
Love conquered all that day
And You arose forevermore
To guide us in Your way

When the Bright Twinkling Stars

When the bright twinkling stars have faded away
In the East the sun rises to herald the day
Then the flowers open their petals to peep
At the wonder of dawn as they’re roused from their sleep

The rooster cries boldly: It’s time to awake
And the white swans swim gracefully in the cool lake
As they search for breakfast of silvery fish
And the dog strains playfully against its leash

The little worms wiggle back into the ground
As the birds try to catch them and there’s the sweet sound
Of a nightingale singing a tune to its mate
And the mewing of kittens too greedy to wait

For their mother to feed them, but she hears their call
And climbs in the basket beside the white wall
A baby stirs softly and opens his eyes
And through a window he sees the blue skies

A red breasted Robin flies into the room
And perched on the cot, sings a gay little tune
The baby laughs sweetly, oh life is so grand
A new day controlled by the Master’s hand

No Place That I Would Rather Be

No place that I would rather be
Than in Your presence, God, my King
I feel Your love wash over me
Your joy fills my entire being

It’s hard to leave this place of prayer
While I’m in Heaven’s perfect realm
I feel Your peace embrace my form
Emotions in me overwhelm

But Lord, I know that though I leave
This place of prayer that means so much
Our talks continue through the day
And I still feel Your loving touch

My Lord, I can’t imagine life
Without the knowledge of Your love
Or precious moments that we share
Those moments never seem enough
