Born without the stain of sin
Rejected and despised by men
A tender shoot in desert sand
He flourished in God’s mighty hand

He never caused another pain
He never sought for worldly gain
Yet He was hated, mocked and feared
But also loved and much revered

He bore our sorrows, bore our pain
Bore our infirmities and shame
He bore our illness and disease
And caused the dragon’s reign to cease

All our sin and misery
Nailed in His body to a tree
He set us free from death and hell
Because our Saviour loves us well

 

Yours, oh LORD, is the Greatness, the Power and the Glory

Yours, oh LORD, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty, for all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours. Yours is the Kingdom, oh LORD, and You are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honour come from You and You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might. In Your hand it is to make great and give strength to all. Now therefore, our GOD, we thank You and praise Your glorious name. 1Chronicles 11-13
Today, South Africa, I proclaim that the LORD GOD has set watchmen on your walls. He has set them on your mountains and hills. He has set them on your plains and in your valleys. Your fields and beaches have not escaped them. The same GOD Who raised Pharaoh to reveal His glory, raises kings and governments for the same reason. As easily as He raises them, He is able to topple them off their thrones. The LORD GOD is the true Ruler of heaven and earth. Our GOD is omnipotent. Nothing escapes His watchful eye. Even as He sees each sparrow that falls, so He sees every evil work, every injustice, every broken heart and every falling tear. He knows every heart, whether its thoughts are good or evil. He is the GOD of Righteousness and His justice will prevail. The blood of the Lamb of GOD is still on the Mercy Seat and the children of the Most High are able to approach Him boldly and obtain mercy in our time of need.
Cry out, oh watchmen! Speak the WORD of the LORD. Raise your flags and sing the Victor’s song. Dance before the King of Kings. The LORD our GOD is mighty to save. Rejoice and be glad in Him. Give praise to the Rock from which you were hewn. Speak and sing to Him in unknown tongues. Bow before His Holy Throne of Grace. Even the seas roar in anticipation, knowing that the dragon has lost its power. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Having done all to stand, stand and see the fall of the wicked. No longer will the children be in bondage to the rulers of evil. Even as GOD led the Israelites out of bondage, so He has come to tear down man made bondages and set His people free. Tyranny will never rule over us. Fear has no place in us. Let GOD’S Word be true and every man that speaks against that truth, be called a liar.

Do Not, Therefore, Fling Away your Fearless Confidence

Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of GOD and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.
Heb. 35-36
Sometimes we need to wait patiently, with fearless confidence on the LORD, until He fulfills what is promised. There are times when failure seems inevitable. It is then that we are to stay calm and focus on the Word in the face of adversity. It is at this point that Satan applies extreme pressure on us to give up and let go of GOD’S Word. Having come so far, don’t do so. We cannot succumb to Satan’s pressure without flinging away our confidence in the promises of GOD. There’s no middle ground. When it comes to standing on the WORD, we’re either on or we’re off.
Patience has the courage to refuse to believe what Satan tries to prove in the physical world. When Satan’s pressure says that GOD is not working on our behalf, patience rejects it as a lie. Patience knows that when faith is exercised to receive a promise from GOD’S WORD, success is inevitable.
Stay blessed as you keep your eyes on Jesus, the Author and finisher of our faith.

My King Was in a Stable Born

My King was in a stable born
And swathing bands the babe adorned
From Heaven’s wealth to poverty
Baptized when He was thirty-three
My King owned nothing on this Earth
Yet nothing could outshine His worth
His army, lowly fishermen
Who left their nets to follow Him
The war He fought was not with man
Swords never featured in His plan
But evil fled before His face
And in their stead abounded grace
He never owned a diadem
No crown of gold was given Him
No royal throne, nor palace bright
Nowhere to lay His head at night
And yet He left a legacy
Bought by His blood on Calvary
And richer than all treasures found
His children who in Him abound

THE WONDER OF NATURE

The dawning of a new day
The setting of the sun
The bright stars etched on black velvet
A night that’s just begun

The volcanoes, thunders, lightning
And the rainbow in the sky
Each has a special beauty
That is awesome to the eye

The sea in all its facets
And the desert’s shifting sand
The glaciers and volcanoes
That cascade upon the land

Are ever changing pictures
Painted by our God above
Always perfect, always different
Always wrought in utmost love

 

Now He who supplies seed to the sower

Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to GOD.
2Cor. 9:10-11
Every seed will always bring forth after its own kind. When we sow finances, we also reap finances; when we sow love, we also reap love. When we sow kindness we reap kindness and when we sow compassion, we also reap compassion.
Bad seeds also bring forth after their kind. Sowing and reaping is a spiritual law that GOD used to create the earth. We need to be careful of the seeds we sow. We will reap a harvest regardless of what seeds we sow, as any farmer will confirm.

Life-giving Rain

The thunder roars: I love You, Lord
The Lightning flashes: Living Word
Rain gushes forth: Life giving Stream
The winds howl: You are God Supreme

The branches dance in ecstasy
Each blade of grass bows down its knee
The thirsty ground drinks gratefully
The birds and beasts rejoice in Thee

A rainbow soon appears above
A sign of God’s unfailing love
The raindrops glitter in the sun
Soon to return from where they come

See that No-one Renders Evil for Evil 1Thess.5:15-24

See that no-one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
Rejoice always.
Pray without ceasing.
In everything give thanks; for this is the will of GOD in Christ Jesus for you.
Do not quench the Spirit.
Do not despise prophesies.
Test all things; hold fast what is good.
Abstain from evil.
Now may the GOD of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
1Thess.5:15-24
In exchange for the garment of heaviness GOD has given us the spirit of joy. [Isa 61:3] Prayer is communion with the One we love, our GOD and Father of all. There is power in the prayer of faith. Prayer overcomes the attacks on our minds by the evil one. Prayer causes us to set our minds on whatever is good, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, whatever is excellent or praiseworthy. While we are soaked in the Light of GOD’S presence, no darkness can seep in. The dark, ugly, painful memories and the evil arrows that want to plague our thoughts and cause fear, pain, lust, vengeance or greed, cannot pass through the force field of GOD’S glory. When we give thanks from a grateful heart for the endless blessings bestowed on us in fathomless love, the Holy Spirit within us ignites a joy unspeakable and full of glory, filling us with power as we revel in GOD’S love. When we spend time in GOD’S presence and in the beauty of His Word, the peace of GOD’S fills us, removing all fear and doubt. In His presence it is easy to abstain from evil. Sweet and bitter waters cannot spring forth from the same fountain. There are many false prophets today. Do not, however, despise prophesy, but remember to test all things by the Word of GOD and to hold fast to that which is good.  Praise GOD who has sanctified us completely in spirit, soul and body and will preserve us blameless at the coming of Lord Jesus. Our GOD is faithful. The work that He has started in us He will bring to completion.

Thank-you, Father GOD, that You spread Your protection over me

Thank-you, Father GOD, that You spread Your protection over me and surround me with Your favour as with a shield. Thank-you that whatever trial I might face today, I will not face it alone, for Your presence is always with me.
You are my ever present help in times of trouble.
You walk with me on the mountain heights and also in the darkest valleys.
You never leave me, nor forsake me.
You know my going out and my coming in.
There is nothing hidden from Your sight.
I love You, Father.
All glory, honour and praise Belongs to You alone. Amen
