Love’s Victory

Love’s Victory

Jesus came from Heaven to set the captives free
The magi came to worship in deep humility
Even as a baby, he escaped satanic snare
And Rama mourned her babies for not one did Satan spare

Jesus read Isaiah’s prophesy and said it was fulfilled
Instead of joy at this great truth, deep hatred was instilled
Men picked up stones to stone Him, but He passed right through the throng
They rejected and accused Him though He had done no wrong

The Pharisees and Sadducees inspired by hellish needs
Sat plotting to destroy Christ as to hide their evil deeds
He stumbled, bloodied, weakened, ‘neath the cross He had to bear
As Hell’s armies watched in triumph and the world just did not care

The Jerusalem thorns that crowned Him, embedded in His skull
Were a mockery of His calling and were a gift from Hell
As the nails tore through His body when they nailed Him to the tree
Satan’s army celebrated their apparent victory

When the Father turned His eyes away from His beloved Son
The hordes of Hell were certain that the victory was won
Over eager, Satan pulled Him into the depths of Hell
Intent on keeping captive the One God loved so well

Unknowingly his evil fulfilled God’s perfect plan
Of offering once and for all God’s sacrificial Lamb
Jesus took the keys from Satan that the devil took from man
And the devil lost dominion as Jesus rose again

Satan trembled in frustration and his fury knew no end
Millions martyred through the ages because they would not bend
Wars and famines and diseases; genocide and countless more
Are results of Satan’s fury and his strategy of war

The devil’s time is growing shorter and his kingdom’s going to fall
God will judge him, his disciples and his army and one and all
Then the righteous in Christ Jesus, loved so unconditionally
Will live within a sinless world with Christ eternally

Mesmerized by Your Great Beauty

Mesmerized by Your great beauty
Captivated by Your love
Enchanted by Your Majesty
Heart set on things above
Enthralled, Lord, by Your glory
And the wonder of Your grace
Consumed by deep desire
As I look upon Your face
Empowered by Your Spirit
In the shadow of Your wings
Impassioned by Your Word of truth
And all the joy it brings

Don’t look at the face which is ravished by time

Don’t look at the face which is ravished by time
Or the hair which has faded to grey
Don’t look at the hands which are gnarled and red
or the limbs which hurt every day

Don’t look at the back which is stooped with age
Or the eyes which are no longer clear
Don’t look at the feet which shuffle along
Or the ears which can no longer hear

But look to the wisdom the years have wrought
The knowledge that will amaze
And look to the heart overflowing with love
And the spirit forever ablaze

THANK-YOU, LORD, FOR YOUR FAITHFULNESS.

Thank you Lord for Your faithfulness.
When we speak these words in praise from the heart, we not only express, but also increase our dedication to the LORD. In saying this, we recognize that all we have, comes as a result of GOD’S promises to us – as a result of His faithfulness in our lives. This type of praise recognizes that we can be dedicated to GOD, because He is dedicated to us. This type of praise recognizes that He is dedicated to our joy, our peace and our growth and that GOD has dedicated Himself to our personal joy and fulfillment.
How dedicated is GOD? [Romans 8:32] says: He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him, freely give us ALL things?
GOD is FAITHFUL. He deserves the praise and the glory for His unwavering faithfulness.

I Believe That We Need to Lower our Expectations of Man

I believe that we need to lower our expectations of man and heighten our expectation of GOD. In doing so, we will never be disappointed.
People cannot always live up to our expectations. It’s unfair to expect more than they are able to give. They’re a work in progress. GOD will complete the work that He started in them according to His infallible Word.
On the other hand, when we lower our expectations of GOD, we limit the blessings that He wants to lavish on us, because of our unbelief. In heightening our expectation of GOD, we open the floodgate of His glory upon us.
Stay blessed as you keep your eyes on Jesus.

The Wheat Fields

The sun smiles on the wheat fields
Giving warmth to all the seeds
The clouds bring rain to water them
Supplying all their needs

The stalks appear in season
And reach toward the sun
Which draws them with its warmth and light
Until their work is done

At harvest time the reapers
With sickles in their hands
Gather up the golden wheat
That stands on fertile lands

Oh, Master of the harvest
In due season You’ll appear
To reap the golden fields of wheat
For which You paid so dear

LORD, Out of Your Glorious Riches, We Pray

LORD, out of Your glorious riches, we pray
Strengthen our spirits with power each day
That Christ might dwell in our hearts by faith
As we dwell in the light Your glory and grace
Keep us rooted and grounded, our hearts set above
May we comprehend the depth of Your love
That we might be filled with the fullness of You
As we’re led by Your Spirit in all that we do
Now unto You who are able to give
So much more than we ask or imagine, receive
Our praise and our honour, our worship, our love
All glory belongs to You, Father above

All That the Father Has, is Mine

All that the Father has, is mine
For I’m a child and heir
I’ll never lack for anything
I do not have a care
For Jesus came to give me life
Gave life abundantly
More than abundant life on earth
He gave eternity
I’ll never live in poverty
Nor with infirmity
For I’m set free from every curse
That sin made due to me
And daily I will give God praise
All glory to the Lamb
Who rose from death in victory
Destroying Satan’s plan
And daily I will give God thanks
For love so rich and free
That He spared not His only Son
To save someone like me
