She loiters in a doorway
Or the corner of a street
Dressed to excite the passion
Of the man she is to meet
Her attire is seductive
Her demeanour self assured
Her every move enticing
She is loud and unperturbed
She knows he may be married
But that’s not her concern
Her only interest is
The sum of money she will earn
He’s only one of many
Who fall into her snare
She doesn’t even know his name
Nor does she really care
There are so many like her
As shallow and as cheap
Destroying many souls
In the destruction that they reap
Their end is in Hell fire
On that great and dreadful day
When Christ Jesus passes judgment
For they walk the evil way
But what about you, Brother
You know they’re doing wrong
And yet you will not help them
Your pride is much too strong
You could tell them of Jesus
Whose precious blood was shed
For forgiveness of their sins
For He died in their stead
And what about you Sister
You look the other way
You do not stop to speak to them
For what will people say
Yet Jesus loves the prostitute
The woman at the well
Was a predestined seed
She did not go to Hell
But on the Day of Judgment
When your very soul’s laid bare
What will you have to answer
Knowing that you didn’t care
