In This Time of Separation

In this time of separation
As we strive to seek Your face
See the hungering and the thirsting
You’ve instilled in us by grace

Having laid aside all idols
Every obstacle removed
On our knees we cry to You, Lord
Let us be approved

We wait upon You, Spirit Wind
We wait in eagerness
Until the power of the Lord
Engulfs each one of us

Purge us in Your  fire
Make us worthy of Your cause
We await Your new instructions
Write upon our hearts Your laws

Let each seed of faith within us
Grow into a mustard tree
May doubt flee in fear before us
As we march to victory

Open the Eyes of My Heart to See

Open the eyes of my heart to see
The length and the breadth
Of Your love for me
Open my spiritual eyes, I pray
To see Your glory
Through each passing day

Open my spiritual ears to hear
The sound of Your voice
Make it loud and clear
Open my understanding to know
Your plans for my life
And the road I must go

Once an Ill-famed Woman

Lord, once an ill famed woman
So many years ago
Had washed Your precious feet with tears
Because she loved You so

May I too have the privilege
Of kneeling at Your feet
And in such gratitude as she had
Jesus, may I weep

And may my tears be many
May this well never dry
But gush forth living waters
As at Your feet I cry

Lord, and this woman humbly
Used her hair Your feet to dry
Not caring who was watching
Or who was passing by

Lord, may my hair be worthy
To dry the tears away
This hair which You have given
As a covering when I pray

For this hair is my glory
Which You’ve given graciously
But gladly I would rather
That Your glory be in me

Lord, and Your feet with ointment
She anointed with great care
Its costly, fragrant perfume
Completely filled the air

Not one drop did she spare, Lord
She gave it all to You
She knew that You had something
That she badly wanted too

Lord, may the prayers I utter
The way I live each day
Give off such fragrant perfume
Before Your throne, I pray

LORD, Out of Your Glorious Riches, We Pray

LORD, out of Your glorious riches, we pray
Strengthen our spirits with power each day
That Christ might dwell in our hearts by faith
As we dwell in the light Your glory and grace

Keep us rooted and grounded, our hearts set above
May we comprehend the depth of Your love
That we might be filled with the fullness of You
As we’re led by Your Spirit in all that we do

Now unto You who are able to give
So much more than we ask or imagine, receive
Our praise and our honour, our worship, our love
All glory belongs to You, Father above

Lord Jesus Help Us

Lord Jesus, help us as we grow
In Your love each day
While passing through the troubled waters
Strengthen us, we pray

Take away our human failings
Which stand in our way
Of reaching Your perfection
Keep each evil thought at bay

We’re born in sin, my Saviour
None of us are good
Teach us to overcome all evil
Mold us as You would

Cause the Tree of Life to grow
By pulling out each weed
The fornications, murders, thefts
Lasciviousness, deceit

Pride, foolishness, adultery
Evil eye and covetousness
Blasphemy or evil thoughts
Whichever sins exist

Let us remember Calvary
And that it was Your love
That caused the King of kings to die
To save each one of us

Lord May Your Grace

Lord, may Your grace
Rest upon me each day
May I grow in Your favour
And will every way

Thank-you for all
That You’ve given to me
And all that You’re doing
For me constantly

Thank-you for fighting
Each battle I face
For granting me victory
As I run this race

Thank-you that all
That I’m planning to do
Will bring me success
If committed to You

Thank-you for life
And for setting me free
And thank-you especially
For Your love for me

Lead and Guide Me Holy Spirit

Lead and guide me, Holy Spirit
Daily teach me more of You
For Your facets are eternal
And I know so very few

Please reveal to me the power
Of the One who dwells in me
And the love You have toward me
May truth set my spirit free

Teach me wisdom, knowledge, counsel
Understanding, fear of God
May my life be changed completely
As I learn to know Your Word

May I imitate You ever
In my thoughts, my words, my deeds
Help me love the way You love me
Seeing to my brethren’s needs

May I walk in faith unfailing
May each Word I hear take root
May I grow into Your image
Bearing every Spirit fruit

Lord of Time and Lord of Space

Lord of time and Lord of space
Lord God of the human race
Lord of the Sabbath, Lord of life
Lord who became our Sacrifice

Lord of the earth and skies and sea
Lord of all eternity
Lord of spirits, Lord of light
Lord in whom we take delight

Lord of mercy, Lord of grace
Lord of Love whom we embrace
Lord of compassion, Lord of truth
Lord of the aged, Lord of the youth

Lord of the evening and the dawn
Lord of the babies yet unborn
Lord of infants, children, teens
Lord of every living thing

Lord who conquered every curse
Lord of the entire universe
Lord of power, Lord of might
Lord of hearing and of sight

Lord of glory whom we praise
Lord, the Ancient One of Days
Lord who sets Your children free
Lord in whom there’s victory

Humbly, Lord, we bow before
Our Lord and God whom we adore
Lord of lords and Kings of kings
In love we bring thank offerings

Worship

Worship is more than getting lost in GOD’S presence, although that is wonderful and I, for one, wouldn’t change that for the world. However, I believe that a higher form of worship is a life-style. It’s the way we think, speak and act every moment of our lives. It’s the way we respond to injustice, to pain, to trials and persecution and to temptation. It’s loving what GOD loves and hating what GOD hates. It’s the unconditional giving of ourselves to GOD, fully trusting Him to complete the work that He has begun in us. Jesus has already given Himself irrevocably, unwaveringly, to us.

Of course, none of us are perfect, so we are sure to mess up at times and that’s okay. GOD is quick to lend a helping hand at those times. Instead of concentrating on the negative, we should stay focused on the times we get it right. It is at those times that our worship is bringing GOD the highest glory.

Love Called Me

Love called me and I loved Him so
The moment I first heard His voice
Love then embraced me and I cried
In gratitude I did rejoice

Love suffered for me unto death
And died to give me life
Love called me to a world of peace
Out of a world of strife

I spurned Love and I slowly died
Love’s little threads spread far and wide
I lost sweet Love, gained bitter pride
Love looked upon me and Love cried

My heart of flesh seemed turned to stone
It could not feel the depth of Love
It could no more embrace the stars
Nor see the glory of above

But in His mercy, Love reached out
And drew me into His embrace
He gave to me a heart anew
And Love shines ever in my face
