You’re in the Wind

You’re in the wind, the Summer rain
The dove’s sweet song, the fertile plain
The rustling leaves, the rippling steam
My Love, You are in everything

Within the stars I see Your face
The moon reminds me of Your grace
The sunbeams warm me as Your love
You’re in the snow white clouds above

You’re in each song of praise I sing
You are my awesome God and King
And every day I’ll walk with You
For You have made my life anew

God Sent the Rushing Mighty Wind

God sent the mighty, rushing wind
He sent the tongues of flame
And baptized those in one accord
Who trusted in His Name

In other tongues their words gushed forth
A people standing near
Each understood in his own tongue
Their preaching loud and clear

Once frightened men, now bold in Him
They preached about God’s love
And signs and wonders followed them
Poured out by God above

The mighty wind is still around
So are the tongues of flame
Just ask in faith not wavering
And you’ll receive the same

Love Letters From My Bridegroom

Love letters from my Bridegroom
Written centuries ago
Every Word of His is Flawless
Like the love that He bestows

Every promise He has given
He will bring to pass in me
For each Word is Yes and Amen
And will stand eternally

Love letters that I cherish
And hold deep within my heart
Words of life and love and mercy
And of wisdom He imparts

And in turn I write love letters
And He reads each one with care
Then smiles and draws me closer
And in joy I linger there

We were made righteous when Jesus was made sin.

On that memorable day, while our Saviour hung on the cross in agony, His body wracked with pain and weakened by the terrible torture and blood loss, the skies darkened as fallen angels filled the air. Every demonic force in the universe congregated above Golgotha and the surrounding areas. Each one of them was excited, eager and willing to bombard the holy, sinless body of Jesus with their filth of sin. They knew that He was exhausted and in acute pain, thirsty and sapped of physical strength. They had waited to destroy the seed of the woman for four thousand years. They had killed all the prophets in an effort to get rid of the Chosen One. Now was their time, they reasoned among themselves. Surely with such a brutal attack they would cause Him to sin. Surely He would curse GOD and die. After all, how could one man stand against the entire kingdom of Hell, especially in such a weakened state?

For three hours they bombard Jesus. Sin, condemnation, selfishness, covetousness, idol worship, foul language, lies, deceit, adultery, theft, murder, hatred, confusion, gossip, backbiting, pride, death,………The attack went on for what must have seemed like an eternity to Jesus, until He cried out in despair, “My GOD, My GOD, why have You forsaken me?” For the first time in His life, He couldn’t address GOD as Father. He had taken our place, taken all of our sin upon Him. He could no longer feel the presence of GOD, because the thick, evil darkness covered Him. He was experiencing separation from GOD. This was something Jesus had never before experienced. He and His Father had always lived in complete unity. Jesus had never sinned. Hell was incapable manipulating Him to sin, but the punishment for our sin was upon Him. After the demons had poured out every conceivable sin within them upon Jesus, the demons left, and the skies cleared.

Jesus then shouted with a loud voice, “It is finished! He was proclaiming that the debt had been paid in full. Immediately after, Jesus bowed His head and said, “Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit.” and died.  Jesus couldn’t die by human hands, as He had never sinned and the punishment for sin is death. He had to choose to lay down His life.

We cannot become more righteous than we are by works. We cannot add to the finished work of the cross. We are already made the righteousness of GOD and that not of our own effort. The closer we draw to Jesus, the more our righteousness becomes visible, as it begins to shine more brightly through the veil of our flesh. We will continuously go from brighter to brighter, from strength to strength and from glory to glory as we keep our eyes and hearts on the precious, unadulterated Word of GOD until His perfect image is fully revealed in us. All glory, honour and strength be to our GOD forever and ever. Amen.

Mesmerized by Your Great Beauty

Mesmerized by Your great beauty
Captivated by Your love
Enchanted by Your Majesty
Heart set on things above

Enthralled, Lord, by Your glory
And the wonder of Your grace
Consumed by deep desire
As I look upon Your face

Empowered by Your Spirit
In the shadow of Your wings
Impassioned by Your Word of truth
And all the joy it brings

How Precious Lord to Realize

How precious Lord, to realize
You think about us constantly
Even when we’re fast asleep
Your thoughts outweigh the galaxy

In number they exceed the sand
In love, immeasurable
Your thoughts for us are thoughts of peace
Our wholeness is Your will

Your plans are plans to teach us how
To rule and to subdue
The darkness roaming on this earth
As we are led of You

Your thoughts are thoughts to prosper us
In every single way
In spirit soul and body
As we walk the narrow way

But more than this, You think about
The day You’ll fetch Your Bride
We’ll rise to meet You in the sky
And stay close by Your side

My Child Do Not Forget My Teaching [Inspired by Prov. 3:1-8]

My child, do not forget my teaching
But keep my commands in your heart always
For long life and peace they will add to you
And you will be blessed for your length of days

Don’t let mercy and truth ever leave you
Bind them round your neck as a precious jewel
Write them on the tablet of your heart
My Word is a Sword that will win every duel

Then you will find favour and high regard
In the sight of Almighty God and man
Trust in Me with all of your heart
And do not lean to what you understand

In all your ways acknowledge Me
I’’ll make every path that you travel straight
And don’t ever be wise in your own eyes
But fear the Lord with each step you take

My Son Stand Firm

My son, stand firm when evil comes
Against you as a flood
When you’ve done all to stand, then stand
Full armored on the Word

For God will raise a standard
Against the enemy
Though they come from one direction
In seven they will flee

Clothe yourself in righteousness
Seek wisdom with your heart
She’ll protect and she’ll watch over you
And precious truth impart

Hold tightly to instruction
Guard it well, for it’s your life
Seek knowledge, understanding
Shun all wickedness and strife

Pay attention, listen closely
For My Word is life to you
And health to all your body
And your life it will renew

You’re in the Wind

You’re in the wind, the Summer rain
The dove’s sweet song, the fertile plain
The rustling leaves, the rippling steam
My Love, You are in everything

Within the stars I see Your face
The moon reminds me of Your grace
The sunbeams warm me as Your love
You’re in the snow white clouds above

You’re in each song of praise I sing
You are my awesome God and King
And every day I’ll walk with You
For You have made my life anew

My Daddy God I Love You So

My Daddy God I love You so
Without You, Lord, where would I go
My Daddy God I trust in You
There’s nothing that You cannot do

My Daddy God I come to You
With every joy and sorrow too
For I know You are always here
To share each joy and dry each tear

My Daddy God in You alone
I am fulfilled, my sins atoned
Within the shadow of Your wings
Safe and secure, how my heart
