Take Heed How You Hear

Take heed how you hear the things that you hear
And by what you measure the things that cause fear
Emotions are the taste buds of life:
Fear, anger, joy, sadness, the cause of much strife

Israel stayed in the desert for forty years
Because of their focus on ten men’s fears
Joshua and Caleb saw victory
While those men saw defeat by the enemy

When the giant provoked Israel to their shame
And taunted Saul’s army again and again
David looked at the giant and heard his conceit
And with his first stone he caused his defeat

There is so much fake news that we see and hear
Be careful to which things you lend your ear
Only GOD is trustworthy, His Good News is true
Believe what He says, not what media tells you

Don’t let outside events steal your joy and your peace
Don’t attach your own meaning and give fear increase
Victory and joy don’t depend on events
They depend on your focus, on GOD’S Word depend

For Our Sakes

He looked upon the world and saw
The suffering of mankind
The sin, the sickness and the pain
The deaf, the dumb, the blind

He saw the lame and the diseased
He saw the battered wives
He saw the drunkards and the thieves
He saw the wasted lives

The addicts and the prostitutes
The child abuse, the strife
And in compassion born of love
Became the sacrifice

A cruel crown of thorns He bore
His face was spat upon
His back whipped open to the bone
This man who did no wrong

Nailed to a cross for all to see
In nakedness and shame
Became our sin to set us free
That we could live again

The earth shook and the day grew dark
The rocks split open wide
For nature agonized when Jesus
Hung His head and died

His Blood be Upon Us

His blood be upon us
Jerusalem cried
And upon our children
Get Him crucified

For two thousand years
The curse of Christ’s blood
Fell upon those who cried out
And swept like a flood

Blinded for our sakes
His Gentile Bride
And for two thousand years
Israel suffered and died

We pray for Your mercy
Our Father above
Let Christ’s blood wash them
In mercy and love

We cry for our brethren
Abraham’s seed
By the child of the promise
At last to be freed

We cry for their suffering
To come to an end
We cry out for peace
In Jerusalem

God bless this land South Africa

God, bless this land, South Africa
Don’t let corruption win
Fill her with peace and harmony
Remove the filth of sin

Remember, Lord, Your people
And hear our prayers to You
May Your kingdom rule within this land
Lord Jesus, keep us true

Remove the stigma of the past
May we all be as one
Abort racism on all sides
Lord, let Your will be done

One Lost Sheep Found

One lost sheep found means more to God
Than all the gold on Earth
Ten thousand angels do rejoice
At just one soul’s rebirth

Unless we’re baptized into Christ
Baptized into His death
How can we live in Jesus
And forevermore be blessed

Jesus gave His life to save us
All He asks us in return
Is that we live our lives for Him
Despising every sin

Can we neglect so great a gift
And choose the road to Hell
The horrors there are greater than
The human mind can tell

God has prepared a city
And it’s streets are paved with gold
He has invited all of us
Though we be young or old

To share His untold treasures
To be His chosen Bride
This promise is to all of us
Who in His Word abide

Restore Israel

Restore Israel
Our Father, we pray
Look down on their suffering
And show them the way

Reveal the Lamb
That was crucified
Lord, show them the reason
You suffered and died

Restore precious sight
To eyes that are blind
Unfasten the shackles
Which have them confined

Reveal the Messiah
They desperately seek
And strengthen the hands
And the knees that are weak

Bring peace unto Zion
Our Father above
Pour down Your blessings
Of mercy and love

Remember Your promise
To Abraham
Bring salvation and joy
To Jerusalem

Have You Ever Thought Give Your Heart

Have you ever thought to give your heart to Jesus
And leave behind the pleasures of the world
Worldly things cannot compare with those of Heaven
The only perfect peace is found in God

Have you ever knelt before the loving Father
And thanked Him that for you He gave His life
You can never find your happiness without Him
In this world there’s only heartache and strife

Oh, the untold pleasures I have found in Jesus
The peace He’s given to my searching soul
There is no life, but only death without Him.
I thank the Lord that He has made me whole.

Ecru Clouds Tinged Snowy White

Ecru clouds, tinged snowy white
Vying with the sun so bright
Keen to hide the azure hue
Of the bright skies peeping through

Raindrops glisten on the leaves
Swaying gently in the trees
Birds fly swiftly to and fro
Singing sweetly as they go

Flowers perfumed from above
Gently fashioned by Your love
Have their nectar gracefully
Changed to honey by the bee

Beautiful this scenery
Wonderful Your grace to me
That I might see the Artist’s hand
Upon this little piece of land

Was Ever Any Friend so True

Was ever any friend so true
Was any man so faithful
Was anyone so full of love
Was even one so stable

Unchanging through the changing years
His love is sure and strong
Though other lovers change their minds
And often do you wrong

His arms are always opened wide
When you need loving care
He’ll never turn His back on you
Nor leave you standing there

Enthroned

Enthroned in grace and purity
In glory, honour, majesty
Enthroned above angelic realm
Enthroned, our God of great renown

Enthroned within our songs of praise
Enthroned within Your Church, ablaze
Enthroned in light and truth and love
Enthroned beyond the stars above

Enthroned within this heart of mine
Not I that live, but Christ divine
Enthroned, You reign eternally
In beauty and in victory
