Is Anything too Hard for God

Is anything too hard for God
One thing He cannot do
Is anything beyond His power
He makes all things anew

No demon power can conquer Him
They tried on Calvary
But they just couldn’t keep Him down
He rose in victory

There’s none can pluck you from His hand
Once He has set you free
None of His children are cast out
He paid the price, you see

Just give Him all the love you can
He’s given all for you
In Him you’ll go from strength to strength
In everything you do

The Influence of a Few Evil Men

When the crowd saw the Lord on an ass and her colt
As He regally passed by their way
They threw down palm branches and robes in His path
In honour and glory that day

Blessed is the King of Israel
The large crowd loudly uttered
Hosanna, blessed is He who comes
In the name of the Lord, they shouted

What a triumphant entry to Zion
What a glorious welcome they gave
Who could believe that in just one week
He would walk the road to the grave

How could a crowd turn from worship to hatred
When Jesus had done them no wrong
How could a few evil men change their mindset
How was their influence so strong

Throughout the ages it took just a few
Like Nero, Hitler, Verwoerd
Castro, Qaddafi and Idi Amin
To cause crowds to see evil as good

Beware of the wolves in sheep’s clothing which come
To influence, kill and destroy
Protect your minds in the Word of the Lord
And peace and long life you’ll enjoy

Pray for the children still lost in the night
For the Antichrist will soon appear
And the world will be damned as they cling to his words
For the day of God’s judgment draws near

Jesus is Compassionate

Jesus is compassionate
He will not turn away
He wants the very best for us
Just call on Him today

Jesus is omniscient
He knows our every need
He will not leave us desolate
Because we are His seed

Jesus is almighty
He is our Warrior King
He’ll win our every battle
If we’d just turn to Him

God Made You Unique

God made you unique, there’s no-one like you
Carbon copies are worthless, He makes all things new
An original painting’s worth many a Rand
But a copy is cheap, though it might look grand

Though jewelry might look when viewed from afar
Imitation looks gaudy, the nearer you are
And even a copy resembling pure gold
Will gradually tarnish and look cheap and old

So if you are teak, designed for a door
Be happy in that, don’t try being a floor
And if you’re a candlestick made out of glass
It just wouldn’t do if you tried to be brass

If all that surrounds you were one shade of green
No more colors existed, how dull life would seem
If only one sound could be heard on this Earth
How empty we’d be and how much we would miss

If all that you tasted, though healthy and good
Had the same kind of flavour, how mundane the food
Don’t imitate others, be yourself every day
Be original always, God made you that way

Father You Never Fail Me

Father You never fail me
You never cause me pain
And when I’m feeling down and out
You lift me up again

Whenever evil powers
Try causing fear or doubt
Through trials or persecutions
You swiftly hew them out

Father, You enclose me
Within Your wall of fire
And angel’s wings enfold me
What more could I desire

You never leave me desolate
Nor see me begging bread
Your favour rests upon me
And by Your hand I’m fed

Father, You’re my first love
My awesome, reigning King
And it is in You, Father
I live and have my being

Christ Left His Throne of Glory

Christ left His throne in Glory
Where angels’ voices rang
In worship and in honour
As before His throne they sang

Became a man rejected
Despised and spat upon
By men who had no reason

Through miracles and healing
He ministered to men
He spoke the Word in truth and love
Each Word a precious gem

But many hated hearing truth
For sin dwelt in their soul
They picked up stones to stone Him
His death became their goal

One night within the garden
He prayed in Gethsemane
He agonized till blood and sweat
Flowed forth because of me

And as the drops fell to the ground
He drank the cup of gall
So that I wouldn’t pay the price
That came with Adam’s fall

A friend betrayed Him on that night
Betrayed Him with a kiss
Christ’s life and friendship valued
In his heart as little worth

Beaten until His visage
Was battered gruesomely
Then made to walk up Calvary’s hill
To die in agony

The crown pierced deep into His skull
Nails pierced His hands and feet
His bones exposed to mortal view
Yet not once did He plead

His thoughts were never of Himself
Except to say: I thirst
His tongue was parched and swollen
But still He put me first

He wouldn’t drink the drug they gave
To ease His awful pain
He suffered every part of it
And took all of sin’s shame

The devils thought they’d won the war
When Jesus died that day
But through His death He conquered sin
And opened up the Way

Hell had no power over Him
Death lost its hold on me
When Jesus rose up from the grave
In total victory

Endless Love has Ransomed Me

Endless Love has ransomed me
Endless Love has set me free
Endless Love gave all for me
On the cross of Calvary

Endless Love, love full of grace
Shines within my Saviour’s face
Endless Love, eternal spring
Flows from God, a healing stream

Endless Love, I trust in You
You have made my life anew
Glorious, sovereign King above
Keep me in Your endless love

Don’t Shoot Your Wounded Brethren

Don’t Shoot Your Wounded Brethren
You soldiers of the Lord
Don’t kick a fallen brother
This deed you can’t afford

Remember the Samaritan
You priests of the Most High
Don’t turn away from helping them
Don’t leave them there to die

Don’t ever pierce a brother’s heart
With careless words you speak
You’ll have to give account to God
For tearing down the weak

For many hearts have turned away
Through brokenness and pain
Caused by a careless, unkind word
That hurt and caused them shame

God’s army has been raised to free
The prisoners in sin
To heal the brokenhearted
And turn man’s heart to Him

Each Tear I Shed

Each tear I shed You understand
Each heartache, Lord, You know
Each silent wish, each secret thought
Each joy and every woe

Each smile, each sigh, each yearning
You see and understand
Each daydream and desire
You hold within Your hand

Yet, Lord, You did not promise
To grant my every whim
But that You’d clean this temple
And that You’d dwell within

The Power of any Oppressor

The power of any oppressor
Who wants to take control
Lies in maintenance of ignorance
Of the masses as his goal

A disciple is a student
Jesus said: Come learn of Me
Make disciples of all nations
That my people may be free

People die for lack of knowledge
The oppressor feeds them lies
Spread the Gospel of Christ Jesus
Only truth can open eyes

It’s the truth that opens prisons
Of the mind and sets man free
And the only truth is Jesus
Only He gives liberty
