Poetry
Cheri Nicholas, Angelique Marais and 8 others
Each stumbling block, a stepping stone
When we walk in GOD’S will
Each mountain flattened, turned to dust
Each voice of doubt made still
Each crooked place we face, made straight
Each barren place turns green
And deserts turn to gardens
Fed by eternal springs
The storms of life we often face
Flee when the sun shines bright
And darkness flees before the One
In whom our souls delight
On mountains high, through valleys dark
Through water and through fire
GOD leads us on victoriously
His image our desire
By Hillary van Eyssen
The marriage of the Lamb has come
His bride prepared for this
Her bridal gown is fine, white linen
Clean and white, her righteousness
Blessed are all who have been called
To feast upon this day
At the marriage supper of the Lamb
Their joy is here to stay
Birds sing whenever a new day dawns
And night creatures give voice every night
The trees of the field clap their hands in the breeze
And the sun touches all in its sight
Stars sparkle against the black canvas of night
They’re magnificent in their display
And the moon’s ever changing yet constant form
Softly shines to light up our way
What an awesome Creator, our God and King
To whom lightning and thunder bow down
He controls the formidable, raging sea
And the storm clouds which hide the sun
He sends the snow and the pouring rain
And the cold winds and the hurricanes
In His presence the earth quakes and splits in two
And tornadoes tear up the plains
And at His command the sun warms up the land
And the ice and the snow melt away
And flowers spring up and decorate fields
In a diverse colour display
No attention to detail was spared when God made
The earth and the Heavens above
From the tiniest life form to the greatest star
All was made in God’s perfect love
