Have you taken time to Pray This Morning?

Have you taken time to pray this morning?

Have you given GOD praise and thanks for watching over you through the night and for waking you to a new day? Have you asked GOD to lead and guide you today and to set a guard over your tongue? Have you brought your petitions to Him, in faith, fully trusting Him to hear your requests and to fulfill your needs? Have you asked GOD to let His will be done in your life today? If so, I believe that you are having a victorious day.

If not, that’s okay. It’s not too late to pray. GOD is always near, eagerly waiting to hear from you. He longs to fellowship with you. Why? Because He loves you.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under GOD’S mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

GOD has good reason for telling us to cast ALL our cares on Him. Cares cause a division between us and GOD. We become so weighed down by our burdens, that we cannot give Him the praise and thanks that He deserves.

We carry our burdens with weak hands that cannot adequately bear the load, therefore when we try to carry our own cares, the devil will use it to devour us. He’ll steal our joy, our peace of mind, our confidence and our worship. He’ll deprive us of sleep as we lie stressing about our problems.

GOD is more than able to carry our loads. He has the whole universe in the palm of His hand. We need to trust Him completely and not try to snatch our cares back because of unbelief in His ability and desire to deal with them.

All that we need to do is let go and let GOD.

In the Glory

In the GLORY there’s no sorrow
In the GLORY there’s no pain
When we enter into GLORY
There is no regret, nor shame

In the GLORY there is wholeness
In the GLORY there is peace
There’s abundant life and victory
There’s prosperity and increase

In the GLORY there’s no sickness
GLORY burns the dross away
In the presence of God’s GLORY
We need live from day to day

Christ in us, the Hope of GLORY
Will cause us to enter in
As we keep our eyes on Jesus
And by faith we wait on Him

Stand in faith whenever darkness
Tries to kill steal and destroy
Stand in Christ’s resurrection power
And full victory enjoy

Life has value even in old age

Life has value even in old age.

Our lives have worth regardless of age. Too many elderly folk lose their sense of self worth. Rejection by family, being put into old age homes and never or seldom visited, is a major contribution to this feeling of worthlessness. Life circumstances should never dictate our worth. We all have something to give. It doesn’t always have to be something we make with our hands. It can be a listening ear and a praying heart. It can be a word of wisdom or a kind word or gesture. Never sell yourselves short. GOD values you beyond all the treasures of the world. He gave His Son to the Pharisees who falsely accused, jeered and punched Him, to the soldiers who stripped and scourged Him and bowed mockingly before Him and the executioners who crucified Him to redeem us.

You look in the mirror and see a frail old person looking back at you. GOD sees His beloved child, the perfect image of Himself.

True Worship

True worship is about realizing and recognizing what GOD has done for us and giving Him thanks even before the manifestation of these things. GOD has already supplied everything we’ll ever need in life, according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus and is waiting to see how we’ll respond. Faith is a positive response to what Grace has already done for us.
Fasting for it, continuously asking for it in prayer, or trying to get GOD to do it, won’t work, just as worshiping in order to receive our needs or desires, won’t work.
We need to see what GOD has done through eyes of faith, that is, believing that which we do not see.
Let us praise and worship Him with thankful hearts, knowing that all of His promises are true.
Be in awe of Almighty GOD, our Everlasting Father, for His finished work.
This is the highest form of faith.

Attitudes that Push the Promises of GOD out of Our Lives

Two common attitudes that push the promises of GOD out of our lives:
[Abraham struggled with these regarding having a son by Sarah]
[1] I’ll have to settle for less.
[2] I’ll have to get it myself.
GOD does not need our help in order to fulfill His promises.
All He requires is our unwavering trust that He will fulfill what He has said.
When things don’t happen quick enough, or happen the way we expect them to, we’re prone to settle for less, or to try to bring them to pass by our own works.
When we do these things, we are declaring that we don’t trust GOD.
We need to rest in the promises of GOD, knowing that His Word never fails, and that He always has our best interests at heart. Just let go and let GOD have His wonderful, perfect way.

Bless the Lord, oh my Soul, and All that is Within Me {Inspired by Ps 103:22]

Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me
Worship His Holy Name
Bless the Lord, oh my soul, glorify the King of Glory
For He forever stays the same

Bless the Lord, oh my soul and forget not all His benefits
Lift up His Holy Name
Bless the Lord, oh my soul, for He forgives all your iniquities
He has broken every chain

Bless the Lord, oh my soul for He has healed all your diseases
Give thanks to His Holy Name
Bless the Lord, oh my soul, for He’s redeemed you from hell
His is all the splendour and the fame

Bless the Lord, oh my soul, He crowns you with loving kindness
His sure mercies enfold your frame
Bless the Lord, oh my soul, for He fills your mouth with good
So that your youth is renewed once again

As the Heavens are High Above the Earth {Inspired by Ps 103:22]

As the heavens are high above the earth
So great is God’s mercy toward those who fear Him
And as far as the east is from the west
So far has the Lord cast away all our transgressions

As fathers show kindness toward their children
The Lord has compassion on all those who fear Him
He remembers that we are subject to time
For He knows we are dust, He remembers our origin

Our days are like grass, as a flower of the field
So we’re born and we flourish and then we are gone
Like a fragile flower in the force of the wind
And by many we’re forgotten before too long

But the mercy of the Lord endures forever
Toward all of His people who fear His Name
And His justice toward all our descendants
The children of the Covenant living in His reign

The Lord has established His throne in Heaven
And His Kingdom rules over all of His dominion
Bless the Lord all angels who do the Lord’s will
Bless the Lord all you hosts, in perfect unison

God is the Creator of Every Moment of Your Life

How many moments do you waste on things that reduce your quality of life; things that steal, kill and destroy your peace, your joy and even your health?
Every moment GOD is consumed with loving thoughts of you.
How many moments do you spend in loving thoughts of HIM?
How many moments do you spend in meditation regarding HIS will in your life? How many moments do you spend in sincere prayers of thanksgiving for all the blessings that you have received, or in worship before HIS throne of grace?

Allow GOD to be your guide, your protector, Your physician, your financial adviser and, most importantly, your beloved. There are treasures beyond compare in GOD’S Word. Search the Scriptures daily so that you might obtain wisdom in all that you do.
Remember that moments wasted in running after things that cannot satisfy can never be recaptured.
Spend your moments wisely.

The Goodness of God

The goodness of God
Is unchanging, absolute
It’s that goodness that keeps us
Hedged in and resolute

There are storms we must face
At times on life’s journey
Devastating and cruel
Raging storms without mercy

Though they might beat us down
And render us broken
God’s goodness steps in
Through the Word we have spoken

Then gently He heals
All our wounds all our sorrow
And gives us new strength
And a brighter tomorrow

Don’t Limit GOD to your Own Understanding

Don’t limit GOD to your own understanding.

In GOD all things are possible. Just trust in Him with all of your heart and He will take you to heights above all you can think of, ask for, or imagine. GOD is faithful and all of His promises are true. Blessed is His holy Name.

Seeds affect ideas and produce your lifestyle and your vision. One wrong seed can keep you bound for the rest of your life. For example: I’m not good enough, not educated enough; I’ll never amount to anything; I’ll never succeed, I’m stupid.

These seeds of doubt, low self esteem and low self worth; and also seeds of self condemnation, are weeds that do not belong in the garden of your life. Often these seeds have been planted by others. Maybe a parent or a teacher told you these things.

It’s time to start weeding the garden. You have been born again of incorruptible seed. You have your Heavenly Father’s DNA. None of the weeds should be a part of your life. Start planting seeds that are positive in the places that the weeds have been growing.

Read what the Word says about you. That is the only mirror of life that you should be looking into. Your Father is the King of kings and Lord of lords. You are the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. The blood has washed away all of your sin, so there’s no reason for self condemnation. Walk with your head held high. It’s not just a sign of self confidence; it will keep your eyes focused on God, instead of on all the negativity that tries to get your attention. God loves you as you are, but too much to leave you in one spot. He will continuously lead you to higher ground.
