The Prodigal Son

Luke 15:11 And He [Jesus] said: There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, “Father, give me my share of the estate. So he divided his property between them.”
V13 Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off to a distant country and there he squandered his wealth in wild living.
V14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country and he began to be in need.
V15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.
V16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
V17 When he came to his senses, he said, “How many of my father’s hired men have food to spare and here I am starving to death!
V18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.
V19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.”
V20So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him. He ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
V21 The son said to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.
V22 But the father said to his servants, “Quick Bring the best robe and put it on him! Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.
V23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Lets have a feast and celebrate.
V24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.” So they began to celebrate.
V25 Meanwhile the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing.
V26 So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on.
V27 “Your brother has come,” he replied, “and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.”
V28 The older son became very angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him.
V29 But he answered his father, ”Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends.
V30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’
V31 “My son,” the Father replied, “You are always with me and everything I have is yours.
V32 But we have to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found.

The elder son had not yet matured in love. He was still judgmental instead of compassionate. He was still consumed with jealousy, instead of love. He was angry at his brother’s safe return, instead of joyful. Eldest son’s inheritance according to Jewish tradition was a double portion. [Duet. 21:15-17] He would therefore have received two thirds and the younger son would have received one third of the estate.

He had received his portion of the inheritance along with his brother and would therefore suffer no financial loss at his brother’s return. He resented his father celebrating his brother’s return because he felt that his father favoured his brother, as his father had never offered to allow him to celebrate in a similar manner with his friends. Had he ever requested such a thing from his father? It all belonged to him anyway. He could have killed and eaten any lamb or goat he desired. His angry retort was that his brother had squandered all of his inheritance on prostitutes and wild living, while he slaved for his father. In truth, he didn’t have to work so hard. His father had many servants. He should have just enjoyed his status as a son. Instead he tried desperately all the years to earn his father’s love. He did not understand the depth of his father’s love. He couldn’t earn his father’s love and approval by works. His father had already loved him in his mother’s womb. He was his firstborn. No amount of slaving for his father could have added to that love. He still had to learn to receive his father’s unfathomable love toward him; and to love in that same unconditional, extravagant way.

So many of us try to earn the Father’s love and to please Him by works. Whenever we do so, we still tend to live by law instead of by the precious grace of God. There are two problems with that. Firstly, if we break one part of the law, we are guilty of the whole law. The law is impossible for man to keep. It is self-righteousness that makes us believe that we can be saved, or score points by our own works. God knows that His standards are too high for a fallen, sinful people to live by. That is why He sent His own sinless son to fulfill the law in our place. Jesus was tempted in every way as we are, but remained sinless. When He hung on the cross to pay the price for our sins, the Father nailed the law and all its ordinances to the cross, wiping out the debt that was due by us. Furthermore, Jesus was made our sin so that we could become the righteousness of God. Secondly the only way back to the Father is by grace through faith and not of our own works lest we should boast. There is nothing that we could do to add to the finished work of Jesus on the cross. If we could, His suffering would have been in vain.

John 3:16 says that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. All God ever wanted was for us to understand the height, breadth, length and depth of His love toward us, and to intimately know, through experience, the love of Christ [the anointed One and His anointing] that far surpasses all knowledge. Having come to know this love, we should love the Father with all our hearts, souls, minds and strengths and our neighbours as ourselves. Our Father wants a loving family relationship. Is that too much to ask? As we mature in love toward the Father and toward one another, all the negative thoughts and feelings toward one another fall away. Jealousy, envy, covetousness, wrong judgment, anger, wrath, evil intent, vengeance, gossip and every other evil thought of darkness cannot stand in the presence of such love. Love never puts self first.

The younger son was self centered and uncaring of his father’s feelings. He was consumed with a desire for independence and wealth. He wasn’t willing to wait for his father to die before receiving his inheritance. He wanted that which was rightfully still his father’s. Not once did he take his father’s feelings into consideration. He was a taker, unconcerned about any one or anything beside himself and his wants.  Wealth came easy to him. He did not work for it. It was given to him. Often easily gotten riches are just as easily squandered. There’s a saying: Easy come, easy go. This was certainly the truth in his case. As soon as he could get his greedy hands on the wealth, he put as much distance between his father and himself as he possibly could. He even immigrated to another country. By leaving his father’s presence, he walked away from his father’s protection, from his love, from his wisdom and from his guidance. As far as he was concerned, his father had no further use, nor place in his life. His father was as good as dead to him. He lived totally immorally and sinfully. Eventually he sank into the depths of sin and sin’s consequences followed.

Sin always has consequences. She tempts man like a beautiful, willful adulteress, gradually luring him deeper and deeper into sin. Then like the mythical siren, she lures him to the depths of the ocean of spiritual death and there reveals her true monstrous nature.

What started out ecstatically ended up catastrophically. When the money ran out, so did his friends. When a mighty famine came upon the country, he was forced to look for work to survive. The only employment that he could find was feeding the pigs of one of the citizens of that country. Being a Jew, this was the ultimate abhorrent thing to do. Pigs were forbidden as nourishment to the Jews and were considered abominable and even the pig farmers were utterly despised by them. Not having eaten for a while, he reached a place of near starvation and would gladly have eaten some of the pods that he fed to the pigs if he were allowed to, as no one gave him any nourishment. How far he had fallen. Once living in the lap of luxury in his father’s house, he was now a starving wretch, mingling with the despicable pigs and even willing to eat from their trough in a foreign land midst a foreign nation who cared nothing for him.

When at last he came to his senses, he remembered that even his father’s servants had more than enough to eat and were well taken care of. At that realization he couldn’t wait to get home. He was willing to be a servant in his father’s house. He did not return because he was concerned about his father. It wasn’t even because he loved and missed him. His reason for coming home was his empty belly. He did not expect his father to receive him as a son again. Not for an instant did he think that he was worthy of the same status that he had once had in his father’s house. He figured that his father had written him off just as he had done with his father. What he desperately wanted was to escape his dire circumstances and the depths to which he had sunk. He deeply regretted the consequences of his poor choices. No one enjoys sin’s consequences. The road back was a long, hard one, but desperation drove him on.

His father, on the other hand, had not forgotten him for an instant. Every day he would scan the horizon, hoping for his son’s return. His heart broke afresh every day that passed without news of his son. Any parent with a run away knows the heartache and anguish of having no idea where the child might be, nor if the child is safe and happy. One day the father was scanning the horizon, when in the distance he saw his son. His son was too far away to see his face, but he knew in his heart that that was his boy. His heart was filled with compassion. [Compassion is a very deep-seated emotion. The Word says Jesus’ bowels were moved with compassion for the people. It’s an emotion that is physically felt within your body.] He didn’t wait for him to draw nearer. He lifted up his robes and ran as fast as his legs could carry him. In those days in Jewish culture, people over thirty did not run. It was considered undignified as they would have to lift their robes, revealing their long underwear. The father was too joyful and excited to care about traditions. They were such trivialities in comparison to his son’s return.

His son had rehearsed a speech, but before he spoke one word, his father embraced him and fervently and tenderly kissed him. The son still bore the stench of the hogs entwined with his own unwashed body odor. None of that fazed his father. All that mattered to him was that his son had returned. In his father’s presence he found safety and security. He found wholeness and peace. Most of all he experienced his father’s immeasurable, non-judgmental love and compassion. How his own heart must have overflowed with love and gratitude toward his father. I believe that tears of repentance mingled with tears of utmost joy.

When he could get in a word, he asked his father’s forgiveness, but his father was already calling to his servants to bring the best robe, that is the robe of honour, to be put on him and to put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. These were very expensive items. Also a feast was prepared in his honour. His father’s reasoning was: Because my son was dead and is alive again, he was lost and is found!  What a glorious welcome home.

Jesus told that parable to reveal the Father’s heart toward His children.
There are no words to describe the love and compassion of the Father toward us. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. Created to be citizens of the commonwealth of God, we have been living in a world of sin with sinful people, never having given a second thought to our heavenly Father as we reveled in our filth. Many sons will choose never to go back home and will die alienated from the Father forever. Others will procrastinate, not wanting to leave the land of sin and will die before they get there. For them the Father will wait in vain and His heart will break into a thousand pieces. On the other hand there are those that are on their way, having heard the Father’s desperate cry for them to return and still others have returned and are safely abiding with the Father under the shadow of His wings.

When we come home our heavenly Father runs to meet us. Fathomless, unconditional, non-judgmental love and amazing compassion drive Him on. He takes us into His arms and fervently kisses us and in His loving embrace our entire stench and filth of sin is squeezed out. He kisses away all of our shame and regret. He kisses away all our sickness and sorrow. He kisses away all our fears. In His embrace, our filthy robes of sin and dishonour are discarded and out of His treasury we are clothed in robes of righteousness and honour. The robes, like all the items, were purchased at a very high price. They were bought with the blood and suffering unto death of Jesus. Our feet that were wounded and filthy from the mire, into which we sank, are fitted with sandals of right standing with God. Spikes driven through Jesus’ feet on the cross purchased these sandals Our Father places a ring of authority [Gen 41:40-42] on our finger, allowing us to walk in victory over the wiles of the evil one and especially over the sinful nature of our own flesh. Our ring of authority was purchased when Jesus descended into hell itself and took back the authority from Satan. No greater love than this was ever lavished by any earthly father on his son.

A lamb was slaughtered for the feast at the prodigal son’s return. Jesus, the sacrificial Lamb of God, was slaughtered for us, making a way for us to return home and feast in our Father’s presence. [1Cor.11: 23-26] Ten thousand angels rejoice at the salvation of one sinner. According to Zeph.3: 15 God rejoices over us with singing. Could you imagine that? It is an indescribable glorious welcome home! It is indeed a great honour to be in our Father’s presence. Let us honour our Father in return by abiding in the shadow of His wings all the days of our lives. There is truly no better place to dwell.

Most Times

Most times when we are praying
We ask so many things
Not really necessary
Of our Lord, the King of kings

Then, when our request’s not granted
We feel we’ve been let down
That He has failed to hear us
And unworthy thoughts abound

But if our Saviour granted
Each request we put to Him
Would it really make us happy
And draw us away from sin

Or would we think of Jesus
As a Genii in a lamp
And let our greed destroy us
Good intentions then recant

But like a Father with his child
Our Father knows what’s best
He knows which things would harm us
And with which we would be blessed

Offence is the Bait of Satan

Offence is the bait of Satan
To trap you in sin’s snare
Sometimes it is caused by those
For whom you really care

Offence can be the product
Of your own imagination
Or refusal to accept rebuke
When it is rightly given

Hurt, betrayal and affliction
Will produce ungodly fruit
If we choose to focus on these things
Keep focused on the good

Insults, strife, outrage, resentment
Envy, jealousy and rage
Bitterness, division, wounding
Are produced in Satan’s cage

Sowing discord among brethren
Drawing others into sin
Through your gossiping and slander
Is a game you just can’t win

When you let the truth offend you
It can’t heal or let you grow
You just open doors to curses
When offence will not let go

Fear of hurt builds walls around you
Unconditional love won’t flow
Unforgiveness stops God’s blessing
For we reap the things we sow

Standing on What We’ve Heard

World condition today:
Pollution, poverty, devastating and incurable disease, crime, terrorism, civil wars and horrific acts of torture have hit the earth as never before during the past two decades
Pollution:
Our seas have been polluted continuously with oil spills, sewerage, and chemical waste.
Certain species of whales and sharks have become extinct and more are in danger of doing so. Many types of fish and crustaceans have been over harvested, resulting in endangered species. Vast forests have been destroyed, their beautiful trees chopped down, causing desert areas and upsetting the climate. These acts have also resulted in endangered flora and fauna as well as the extinction of many creatures. The O Zone has a tremendous hole, causing dangerous UV rays to affect multitudes with skin cancers and other skin problems.

Poverty:
Whole countries, but for a few extremely rich leaders, are starving: Iraq, Afghanistan, India, Cuba, Zimbabwe, Congo, Sudan, Uganda and Rwanda, to mention a few. Even in this country, millions are poverty-stricken.

Disease:
Despite advanced Medical breakthroughs, devastating and often incurable diseases have spread throughout the world as never before: Aids, cancer, Yuppie flu, wolf bite, new strains of T.B.

Crime:
Criminals have never been so blatant, or as numerous as now. Murder, rape, hi-jacking, and armed robberies are every day occurrences. Life is considered worthless. People kill for kicks. Even children commit murder without a second thought. Serial killers and rapists are on the increase. Gang rapes and murders are the norm. Two children, 6 years of age, caught in the middle of a gang war, were shot on the way from school 13-03-2003. Since then numerous innocent children have been fatally wounded due to gang wars Motor vehicle thieves shot a disabled child for not vacating a school bus quickly enough.Child trafficking and human trafficking on the whole are the largest source of illegal profits, even surpassing illegal drug sales universally.

Civil War
Angola, Congo, Liberia, Somalia, Sierre Leonne and Ivory Coast are just some of the African countries involved in civil war, some of which go on for decades. Tyrants rule many of the African countries and the people are dying of starvation. Africa, South America and the Middle East have several countries continuously involved in civil war.
Israel is under continuous attack by Palestinians who want to rule all of Israel and want all Israelites eradicated. The Western countries have continuously sold Israel out, making her give up the land that God gave her. Although Israel won back this land during the Six Day War against humanly impossible odds, she has systematically lost land because of pressure by the United Nations to give what is rightfully hers to the Arabs. The reason for these acts is that the Arabs control the oil.

Terrorism and acts of torture:
Sierre Leone: People’s limbs have been chopped off  by children, high on drugs, by order of the rebel forces.
Rwanda: Genocide. A million mutilated bodies filled and blocked the rivers, the streets, homes, businesses and even churches about two decade ago.
Bosnia: Ethnic cleansing. So-called Christians decided to kill off the Moslems in their country.
Afghanistan: Women treated as sub-human. They suffered inhumane torture, murders, rapes and starvation at the hands of the Taliban.
11-09-2001: Two planes crashed into the Twin towers in New York. Anthrax coated letters were sent by terrorists in an endeavor to kill Americans by chemical warfareIn Uganda, whole villages are wiped out, except for some children and teens who are forcefully abducted by the Moslems as slaves. Many of them are tortured and killed for crying. These children witness their entire families being massacred in horrific ways. They are not regarded with any compassion and dehumanized by their abductors. Ministries in the USA have purchased the freedom of thousands of these slaves from their masters. These acts of kindness, however, result in even more atrocities against the villages. The reason for these incomprehensible atrocities is quite absurd. The victims are Christians and therefore hated by the Moslems in that country.
In Ethiopia, women get stoned to death for adultery and fornication. If they are raped, they are found guilty anyway. Nothing happens to the men.
Millions of children are abducted and then forced into child prostitution. Many of these sex slaves are drugged or tortured to keep them in submission to their owners.
Children are sold into prostitution and married off at as young as 10 years.
Often their parents are responsible for selling them for a pittance, as they are living in dire poverty.
Child slavery still floods many African, South American and Middle East countries In Uganda, parents sell their children to unscrupulous buyers who starve them and make them do manual labour far beyond their years. Many of these children die from neglect.

Drugs:
Drugs addiction has become a plague that reaches into every society. Addicts prostitute themselves and steal and kill to obtain money to buy drugs, because they eventually become incapable of working. Many die of overdoses, or because their vital organs are destroyed. The drugs are readily available and children become hooked at a very young age. There was a time when drug users were the outcasts of society. Now it is the norm and peer pressure to partake is extreme.

The rulers of darkness control this world system. It is a dog eat dog world. Witchcraft and Satanism are now accepted religions. There are a dozen or more types of sexual orientations referred to as referred to as ‘alternate life styles’ and embraced by both society and the church world. It is illegal to speak against these acts in many countries Strippers and prostitutes, albeit male, female, bisexual, and homosexual, transsexual and sadomasochists, blatantly and proudly speak on T.V. shows about their sordid lifestyles. Married Couples swap partners at ‘swing parties’ to ‘spice up their sex life.’

Condoms are given out at schools, and public toilets. Instead of abstinence, safe sex is taught in schools. Virgins are mocked and treated as abnormal. How can such perversions be acceptable to society, while God’s Word is banned from schools? Nudist camps are prevalent. We live in a world system gone mad, where good is called evil and evil is called good.

The good news is that where sin abounds, grace abounds much more.
Through it all, God has kept His hand upon His children.
In the midst of poverty, the Lord God causes us to prosper.
In the midst of terrorism, crime and violence, our Almighty God protects us. He has promised us safe houses, prosperity and protection in the midst of chaos and famine.
In the midst of disease, we are healthy.
While others need drugs to get high, we get high in the Spirit.
While others need to go to clubs and parties to find momentary joy, we have joy unspeakable and full of glory because the Holy Spirit dwells within us.

[Q] Why?
[A] Because God sent Jesus to bring us salvation.
[Q] What is salvation?
[A] Wholeness in every area: spirit, soul and body.
Jesus came to do more than that. He came to take back the dominion that Satan took from Adam. What’s more, He took it back in order to return it to the saints of God.

Throughout His ministry on Earth, Jesus kept teaching us to seek after the Kingdom of God.[Matthew 6:33] But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
What things shall be added? Let us go back and read what Jesus was talking about.
[Mat 6:24] No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
[V25] Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
[V26] Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
[V27] Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
[V28] And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
[V29] And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
[V30] Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
[V31] Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
[V32] (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

What is the Kingdom of God that we must seek?
It is God’s way of doing things. Everything that God does is done by sowing and reaping.
What we need to do, is understand the power that is at work within us through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. We also need to understand that not one of God’s good promises ever fail and that what He has said, He will do.
We need to walk in immovable faith in God. To live righteously, we need to love Him above all else. When we love Him with all our hearts, souls and minds, we will live righteously because we want to, not because we were told to. This is the kind of relationship that God is seeking with us. He created us to be His children. We were made the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus, not through our works, but through faith. Let us walk in that righteousness through love for the Father. As God’s children, we were told to subdue and rule the Earth. Let us subdue the forces of darkness that try to rule our lives and let us rule over illness, poverty, fear and all the rest of sin’s attributes.

Speak the Word, not the problem. If you want healing, do not keep saying: I am ill. I feel ill. Those are the facts, but they are certainly not the truth. [Romans 3:4] says: let God be true, but every man a liar. I do not mean that you must say there is nothing wrong with you. You can acknowledge the facts, but refuse to allow them a hold on your life. Proclaim the truth that by Jesus’ stripes we were healed. Facts change all the time, but truth remains forever. We do not walk by sight. We walk by faith.Do not keep proclaiming the problem. Starve it and feed the Word in your life until the healing comes. If you are in debt, do not keep speaking the problem. Say: I put myself into debt, but praise the Lord, God has plans to prosper and not harm me; plans to give me a hope and a future.Speak against fear. God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind.Speak Psalm 91 until it becomes a Rhema or Now Word in your life. For every trial and temptation, there is a Scripture to counter attack it.

Speak the Word, be instant in season and out of season [2Tim 4:2]
Instant: Gk. Word: proskartereo {pros-kar-ter-eh’-o}
Continue steadfastly; to be steadfastly attentive unto, to give unremitting care to; to persevere and not to faint; to be in constant readiness for Continue steadfastly speaking the Word in faith. Persevere in your faith, giving care to what you take into your heart through your eyes, ears and mouth. Be in constant readiness for that which you trust God for, to come to pass.We are no longer subject to the kingdom of darkness. We are children of the Light. Let u s walk in that Light.
[1 Thessalonians 5:5] Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
[Ephesians 5:8b]… walk as children of light
Do not waiver in your faith. Having done all to stand, stand. Keep sowing the Word into your heart, until it gushes out of your mouth. You will get to a place where someone says: ‘Financial difficulty’ and you say something like ‘Cast your cares upon Jesus.’ You’ll hear ‘Money’ and you’ll say something like ‘God delights in the prosperity of His saints.’ You will hear ‘I feel ill’ and you will say ‘God sent His Word to heal you. Let me lay hands on you to receive it.’It will become a way of life the way it was intended to be since the beginning Just keep sowing seeds and you will reap a harvest every time.

As for the lost in this world, they need our prayers more than ever before. They’re stumbling in the darkness and deceitfulness of sin and need a light to see. We are called to be a light in the darkness. The vilest of sinners is not beyond redemption. A repentant and contrite heart will not be ignored by GOD Who wishes all men to be saved. John 3:16 says that GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. How will the lost believe unless they hear the Gospel, and how can they hear if nobody tells them? Freely we have received and freely we must give the Good News so that others might be saved.

And give thanks to our God
And in love He will grant
The desires of your heart

Trust in the Lord
With your heart and your soul
Not in your logic
And He’ll make you whole

Stay in the Word
The more that you know
The more you will trust
Be renewed and will grow

Do good unto others
Pray for those in need
Don’t gossip, condemn
This God’s Word has decreed

And all of God’s promises
Are yours to grasp
If you live in His rule
All you need do is ask

Man shall not Live by Bread alone

Man shall not live by bread alone
We’ll live by every Word
Proceeding from the mouth of God
Which we by grace have heard

He who is of God, hears God
And listens to His Voice
In major and in trivial things
In victory to rejoice

For God has all the answers
And the power to achieve
In wisdom He’ll direct our paths
If we would just believe

God is a God of justice
And in righteous He’ll speak
In His endless love and mercy
If His guidance we would seek

He’ll instruct us and He’ll teach us
In the way that we should go
Guide us by His Word forever
For our Father loves us so

Meet With God in the Morning

Meet with God in the morning before you meet
With the devil, then put him under your feet
If you meet with God first He will strengthen you
To overcome evil the whole day through

But if you delay then the evil one
Will get to you first and break you down
You will find you give out more than you put in
So your upkeep becomes your downfall again

He’ll rob you of peace and get in the way
Ensuring that you have no time to pray
Your strength will dwindle your joy will wane
Your arms and your knees will grow feeble again

Keep the Word of God’s truth in your mouth night and day
It’s the weapon which keeps all evil at bay
Meet with God when you wake up, your first fruits are His
Be faithful in small things, He’ll give the increase

Learn to Forgive

Learn to forgive when your heart is breaking
Whatever the cause of the pain
Learn to forgive, or you’ll stay in bondage
And suffer again and again

You cannot forgive while you’re feeding your anger
As long as you bow to its shrine
Let go of the idol of Unforgiveness
And bow to God’s order divine

You need to endure it, for you cannot change it
It happened, it can’t be undone
It’s painful, but bear it and you will survive it
And God will help you overcome

Learn to let go of the pain and the suffering
Don’t harbour grudges, forgive
Let go of the death caused by Unforgiveness
Take hold of Jesus and live

God will make good things out of the bad things
If you’ll forgive and let go
He has forgiven you all of your failings
He loves you more than you know

From Zion Perfect in Beauty [Ps 50 1:4]

From Zion, perfect in beauty,
God shines forth, yes, our God comes
And He will not be silent
Listen to me, faithful ones

 A fire devours before Him
And around Him tempests rage
Nations fear and quake before
The Ancient One of Days

He commands the earth from sunrise
To the setting of the same
And commands the Heavens above
His judgements to proclaim

Expect the Glory

Expect the glory when you trust the Lord
His glory is His Word
Fulfilled in you, supplying your needs
As promised by the Lord

God’s glory resurrected
Christ Jesus from the dead
Bore our sickness and diseases
When Christ died in our stead

Expect the glory when you’re sleeping
Expect the glory when you wake
Expect the glory every moment
God sent His glory for our sake

Expect the glory when in need of
An answer to your prayers
Expect the glory when in trouble
Because God really cares

In reverence of His Name
Expect the glory when you dance with joy
The glory will not wane
