Don’t Shoot Your Wounded Brethren

Don’t Shoot Your Wounded Brethren
You soldiers of the Lord
Don’t kick a fallen brother
This deed you can’t afford

Remember the Samaritan
You priests of the Most High
Don’t turn away from helping them
Don’t leave them there to die

Don’t ever pierce a brother’s heart
With careless words you speak
You’ll have to give account to God
For tearing down the weak

For many hearts have turned away
Through brokenness and pain
Caused by a careless, unkind word
That hurt and caused them shame

God’s army has been raised to free
The prisoners in sin
To heal the brokenhearted
And turn man’s heart to Him

The Power of any Oppressor

The power of any oppressor
Who wants to take control
Lies in maintenance of ignorance
Of the masses as his goal

A disciple is a student
Jesus said: Come learn of Me
Make disciples of all nations
That my people may be free

People die for lack of knowledge
The oppressor feeds them lies
Spread the Gospel of Christ Jesus
Only truth can open eyes

It’s the truth that opens prisons
Of the mind and sets man free
And the only truth is Jesus
Only He gives liberty

All Around Us People Dying

All around us people dying
In a world lost in despair
Fear and chaos are the norm here
Misery’s found everywhere

Yet there are a few exceptions
People of the great I Am
Living in anticipation
Fearing not the face of man

Death and torture do not scare us
All these things will end one day
But the glory of Christ Jesus
Will not dim, nor pass away

Onward we will march to battle
Soldiers in the Master’s care
Fighting every force of darkness
Spreading His love everywhere

Waiting for the sound of trumpets
Listening to the Master’s voice
Knowing He’ll return from glory
For the people of His choice

Come You Children of the Most High

Come you children of the Most High
See the brightness of His Being
March against the powers of darkness
In His Name you’re sure to win

Listen to God’s voice within you
He‘ll give you the strategy
He’s the Captain of the armies
He’ll give you the victory

You’re the only army ever
To do battle on your knee
In the mighty name of Jesus
All demonic hosts must flee

Come you children of the Most High
Let’s sing songs of praise to Him
For the Lamb alone is worthy
To be called the King of kings

Are You a Spiritual Tap or a Drain

Are you a spiritual tap or a drain
A tap gives fresh water again and again
Where there’s a thirsting, the tap is the thing
That we go to and turn on to pour us a drink

The tap always yields the water within
Its source never dies and it flows fresh and clean
The drain is a taker and grabs all it can
And all that it swallows is not seen again

It doesn’t want water in order to live
It’s quick to receive, but unable to give
No water’s returned, lest the drain’s blocked by waste
But then it stagnates and the stench fills the place

Nothing that’s good is retained in its bowel
And what is retained, is revolting and foul
Having said all this, I ask once again
Are you a spiritual tap or a drain

Adopted in God’s Family

Adopted in God’s family
What a privilege that is
To know the love of brethren
And know that we are His

Each one of us, unique by grace
That we might do His will
And as we grow in love
It’s love in others we instill

Each of us has a part to play
His purpose to achieve
For we’re all called to service
In the Kingdom of God’s peace

One in mind and one in purpose
One in love and faithfulness
Unified in Word and spirit
As we strive for holiness

Each preferring one another
Lifting up the fallen one
Strengthening the weaker members
Never putting others down

Showing due respect to leaders
As we cover them in prayer
For they teach, instruct, admonish us
Because they really care

Not neglecting gifts and callings
They were given lovingly
Encouraging each other
With a Word or prophesy

Forgiving one another
When offence would have its way
Giving no place to the devil
As God guides us every day
