Do not, Therefore,Fling Away Your Fearless Confidence

Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of GOD and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.
Heb. 35-36
Sometimes we need to wait patiently, with fearless confidence on the LORD, until He fulfills what is promised. There are times when failure seems inevitable. It is then that we are to stay calm and focus on the Word in the face of adversity. It is at this point that Satan applies extreme pressure on us to give up and let go of GOD’S Word. Having come so far, don’t do so. We cannot succumb to Satan’s pressure without flinging away our confidence in the promises of GOD. There’s no middle ground. When it comes to standing on the WORD, we’re either on or we’re off.
Patience has the courage to refuse to believe what Satan tries to prove in the physical world. When Satan’s pressure says that GOD is not working on our behalf, patience rejects it as a lie. Patience knows that when faith is exercised to receive a promise from GOD’S WORD, success is inevitable.
Stay blessed as you keep your eyes on Jesus, the Author and finisher of our faith.

Give Thanks to the Lord and Call on His Name [Inspired by 1Chron 168-12 &15]

Give thanks to the Lord and call on His Name
Make known what He’s done, spread abroad His fame
Sing to the Lord and lift up your voice
And glory in His holy Name

Tell of God’s mighty and wonderful deeds
Children, glorify His holy Name
Look to the Lord and the Word His power
Eternally our God will reign

Remember the miracles that God has done
When the mountains seem too high to climb
When the battle is raging just trust in His love
And He’ll give you the victory each time

God remembers His covenant eternally
He’s unchanging and He won’t renege
He has saved us in love that surpasses all things
And He cherishes all He has made

From One Man God Created All Nations [Inspired by Acts 17:26-27]

From one man God created all nations
To inhabit the whole of the earth
He also determined the times set for them
The exact places where they should live

God did all this so that men should seek Him
And that those who sought Him would find
So that they might be saved from their sin and sin’s sorrows
And leave all the darkness behind

Yet our God is not a God away
Though He’s ruler of all things that be
He’s as close as our heart beat and if we invite Him
He’ll dwell in us eternally

How Fathomless

How fathomless the love of God
To send His Son to Calvary
To suffer torturous pain and shame
To die a cursed death on a tree

What endless love and grace in Christ
That He would pay sin’s price for me
Became my sin and took my place
And paid the highest penalty

How broken hearted Father God
Who couldn’t look upon His Son
Drenched in my full iniquity
Hanging there in place of me

How alienated and alone
Christ must have felt when He
Cried: Why have You forsaken Me
While He hung there in agony

My God, My God He cried that day
Because sin separated Him
From Son-ship as He bled for me
He couldn’t call God, Father, then

But praise my Father God above
Who gave His Son in wondrous love
Bless Jesus that He fetched the keys
Of Hell and death in victory

Now I will never have to die
I’ll never pay the price of sin
For Jesus made me righteous, free
And gave to me eternity

From Beneath the Throne of God Inspired by Rev 22:1-5]

From beneath the throne of God
A crystal river flows
Down the midst of Zion’s great street
The wondrous river goes

On either side the Tree of Life
Stands strong in holy ground
It bears twelve crops of fruit each month
It’s fruitful all year round

Its leaves are for the healing of the nations
There won’t be
Any curse or darkness
For the Lord Himself will be

The Light Who lights the darkness
No need for lamps nor sun
His name is on the foreheads of
His people, every one

In love His own will serve Him
For He’s Faithful and He’s true
We will give Him praise thank Him
For He’s made our lives anew

At His throne His own will worship
And adore the King of kings
In the splendour of His presence
For all the joy He brings

I Love You, Adore You

I love You, adore You, Saviour divine
Great prophet who turned the water to wine
You heal the sick and raise the dead
You love us so much, You died in our stead

They scourged You, each stripe upon Your back
A healing for us, and they placed a sack
Over Your holy head and slapped Your face
And sinners like us were saved by Your grace

A crown of cruel thorns was pressed on Your head
Down Your face and back Your blood flowed red
They clothed You in a purple cloak
Then bowed before You to mock and gloat

They spat on You, Jesus, and You were bruised
By the sticks and the fists that the Pharisees used
They shoved Your cross on shoulders raw
Without complaint, our sin, Lord, You bore

Beloved of God, but despised by men
They crucified You, but You rose again
Hell nor the grave could keep You, Lord
Saved are all people who live by Your Word

Don’t darken God’s Counsel [Inspired by Job 38:1; Isa55:8-9; Isa50:4]

Don’t darken God’s counsel with words without knowledge
Don’t blame Him when life lets you down
Don’t question His honour, His love or compassion
Our God is a God of renown

His thoughts are not our thoughts and neither His ways
Both surpass all the stars up above
He isn’t a man with man’s many shortcomings
Our God is the essence of love

Ask God for a tongue that’s instructed in truth
Search the Word for the answers to life
Don’t stumble in darkness, step into the Light
And come out of this world of strife

Do Not Put You Trust in Idols [Inspired by Jeri 10:3-5; Ps 136:3-4;]

Do not put your trust in idols
They can’t see, nor hear, nor speak
They have no understanding
To provide the peace you seek

Do not put your trust in moon and stars
Though they’re an awesome sight
Nor in the sun which shines by day
To bring us warmth and light

Do not put your trust in prince
Nor in the strong, nor in the brave
Nor in presidents, nor rulers
Of this world that’s so depraved

They’re mortal men who cannot save
Their lives are but a breath
And all their plans will perish
At the moment of their death

Do not put your trust in fortresses
Nor in celestial beings
Creation cannot save us
Nor this world’s material things

But put your trust in God alone
And in the power of His Word
For He is able to deliver you
From every evil work

Deep Calls to Deep Inspired by Ps 42:7-8; Ps 43:3; Ps 44:4-6; Ps 3:3-5;8]

Deep calls to deep in the roar of Your waterfalls
All Your waves and breakers sweep over my form
Your loving kindness You command in the daytime
At night, my Lord, I sing to You Your song

Send forth Your Light and Your Truth, let them guide me
Let them bring me in haste to Your Holy Place
There let me revel in Your Glorious presence
My Joy and Delight, as I seek Your face

The strength of my arm does not bring me the victory
In Your strength my adversaries are put to shame
No weapon of man can prosper against me
You give me the victory through Your holy Name

Lord, You are a Shield around me forever
And You bestow glory and lift up my head
Lord, whether I shout or speak in a whisper
You are quick to hear every word that I’ve said

Every night I lie down and my sleep is peaceful
Inexplicable love keeps me safe from all harm
Every morning I wake for Your presence sustains me
To face a new day in the crook of Your arm

Creator of All Things That Be

Creator of all things that be
Both hidden things and things we see
All angles sing and praise Your Name
In adoration bow their frame

Why is it people turn away
And blaspheme You each passing day
While others say You’re just a myth
That it’s by accident we exist

The wiser, man, in his own eyes
The more he yields to devils’ lies
His intellect has made him blind
It’s intellect of the human kind

So many people swept away
By mediums’ lies that hold them sway
Who say they speak to those long gone
Because life after death goes on

Yet there are many that proclaim
And spread abroad Your holy Name
Those You have called and chosen too
Whose lives are forever made new
