Father You’re My Refuge

Father, You’re my refuge
You’re the strength inside of me
I shall not fear though mountains quake
And fall into the sea

Though the earth would open up
Consume all in its way
And fires roar and bring to ash
Whole cities in a day

I know You are my ever present help
In time of need
And that Your love will see me through
Wherever life may lead

Although diseases multiply
And spread throughout the land
I’ll not be moved because I know
My Father holds my hand

All Around Us People Dying

All around us people dying
In a world lost in despair
Fear and chaos are the norm here
Misery’s found everywhere

Yet there are a few exceptions
People of the great I Am
Living in anticipation
Fearing not the face of man

Death and torture do not scare us
All these things will end one day
But the glory of Christ Jesus
Will not dim, nor pass away

Onward we will march to battle
Soldiers in the Master’s care
Fighting every force of darkness
Spreading His love everywhere

Waiting for the sound of trumpets
Listening to the Master’s voice
Knowing He’ll return from glory
For the people of His choice

Deeply Loved and Highly Favoured

Deeply loved and highly favoured
Daughter of the King of Kings
Clothed in righteousness and beauty
Safe beneath my Father’s wings

Dwelling daily in His presence
None can pluck me from His hand
Though my enemies attack me
In God’s Glory I will stand

When I tire in the battle
And my shield sags, leaving me
Vulnerable to Satan’s onslaught
God is quick to rescue me

Tenderly my Father heals me
When I’m wounded in the fight
He does not reproach, but rather
Strengthens me to do what’s right

Deeply loved and highly favoured
By my Father, El Shaddai
I will honour, praise and worship
At the feet of God Most High

Come You Children of the Most High

Come you children of the Most High
See the brightness of His Being
March against the powers of darkness
In His Name you’re sure to win

Listen to God’s voice within you
He‘ll give you the strategy
He’s the Captain of the armies
He’ll give you the victory

You’re the only army ever
To do battle on your knee
In the mighty name of Jesus
All demonic hosts must flee

Come you children of the Most High
Let’s sing songs of praise to Him
For the Lamb alone is worthy
To be called the King of kings

Daddy God I Praise Your Name

Daddy God, I praise Your Name
The Name by which all men are saved
I give You thanks for all You’ve done
For loving people so depraved

For You are holy above all
Omniscient, seeing a sparrow fall
And whosoever heeds Your call
You rescue from sin’s bitter gall

Daddy God, I cannot bear
A moment without Your sweet love
And presence in this life I live
Lord, fill my mind with things above

For Our Sakes

He looked upon the world and saw
The suffering of mankind
The sin, the sickness and the pain
The deaf, the dumb, the blind

He saw the lame and the diseased
He saw the battered wives
He saw the drunkards and the thieves
He saw the wasted lives

The addicts and the prostitutes
The child abuse, the strife
And in compassion born of love
Became the sacrifice

A cruel crown of thorns He bore
His face was spat upon
His back whipped open to the bone
This man who did no wrong

Nailed to a cross for all to see
In nakedness and shame
Became our sin to set us free
That we could live again

The earth shook and the day grew dark
The rocks split open wide
For nature agonized when Jesus
Hung His head and died

All Things Exist

All things exist because of Thee
The stars in every galaxy
The sun by day to give us light
The moon to shine for us each night

The raging winds, the pouring rains
The deserts vast, the fertile plains
The mountains, valleys and the seas
The leaves that rustle in the breeze

You have the world within Your hand
And all that happens, You have planned
The earthquakes, tremors and the droughts
The rich, the poor, the layabouts

You take the clay out of the fields
To wet and trample till it yields
And when the clay has been abased
You mold the vessel to Your taste

Through blood and Sweat

Through blood and sweat and agony
Your love showed on Your face
Though marred beyond description
Your eyes portrayed Your grace

Though pierced by cruel Jerusalem thorns
Pressed deep into Your scalp
You gave deliverance to man
Who cried to You for help

The soldier’s lashes cut so deep
Your bones were in full view
Your beard was plucked out savagely
And people spat on You

Yet not once did You curse the men
Who caused such awful pain
In silence drank the bitter cup
Your suffering was our gain

As nails pierced through Your hands and feet
Excruciatingly
You prayed for their forgiveness
While they nailed You to a tree

What greater love in all the Earth
Than Yours, my Lord, on high
That willingly You suffered so
For someone such as I

Beloved Children in this World

Beloved children in this world
The Master bids you come
Walk out of darkness into light
And live within the Son

Beloved children don’t delay
Don’t look back and don’t doubt
Please hear the Master’s urgent call
For time is running out

Beloved children don’t you know
You’re kidnapped royalty
Don’t be a slave to darkness
Your King has set you free

A Flock of Birds

A flock of birds fly overhead
Their song is loud and clear
They fly beneath the ivory clouds
A joy to eye and ear

An orchestra is playing
A soothing melody
Each faultless note the violinists play
Forms perfect harmony

Midst myriad fragrant flowers
Each a blessing from above
All clothed in flawless beauty
By God in wondrous love

The honeysuckles’ fragrance
Permeates air and sky
While on a living carpet
Of lush green grass I lie
