Bow Down Before His Majesty

Bow down before His Majesty
Worship at His throne
Sing praises to our glorious King
He’s worthy, He alone

Dance before His Majesty
Lift holy hands on high
Make a joyful noise unto
Our Lord God El Shaddai

Exalt with awe His majesty
Proclaim His holiness
Come raise His royal banner
Make known His righteousness

Poem to a Bride

Shimmering white dress of an angel
Lace and satin, glorious sight
Like facets of a myriad diamonds
Glimmering in the morning light

Wide and lustrous, soft and flowing
Fitting snugly at the waist
Sparkling pearls and diamante
In the dress and train encased

Shining blonde hair, flowing freely
Rosy cheeks, lips full and red
Bubbling over with excitement
Knowing soon she will be wed

She seems to float up to the altar
Where her bridegroom waits with pride
In love they stare at one another
And their joy they cannot hide

In my heart a prayer I utter
Be their Center night and day
Through the good times and the bad times
Be the Light that guides their way

All of Creation Speaks

All of creation speaks of You facets
All of creation speaks of Your love
All of creation speaks of Your beauty
Lord, all of creation on Earth and above

All of creation speaks of Your power
All of creation speaks of Your grace
All of creation speaks of Your mercies
Lord, all of creation in You has its place

All of creation speaks of Your goodness
All of creation speaks of Your heart
All of creation speaks of Your wisdom
Lord, all of creation in You had its start

Are You a Spiritual Tap or a Drain

Are you a spiritual tap or a drain
A tap gives fresh water again and again
Where there’s a thirsting, the tap is the thing
That we go to and turn on to pour us a drink

The tap always yields the water within
Its source never dies and it flows fresh and clean
The drain is a taker and grabs all it can
And all that it swallows is not seen again

It doesn’t want water in order to live
It’s quick to receive, but unable to give
No water’s returned, lest the drain’s blocked by waste
But then it stagnates and the stench fills the place

Nothing that’s good is retained in its bowel
And what is retained, is revolting and foul
Having said all this, I ask once again
Are you a spiritual tap or a drain

Each Star Above

Each star above GOD made to shine
To glow like lanterns in the night
The moon a glorious ball of gold
Upon the Earth to shine so bright

Innumerable jewels in ebony sky
Shine like sapphires from on high
To take the fear out of the night
In tender beauty, wondrous sight

Reflecting in the lake so calm
Each glorious light a healing balm
To troubled souls as soft they glow
And dance in ripples to and fro

Until the sun at break of day
Brings forth her light to show the way
Her soothing amber turning white
And sends away the darkest night

Adopted in God’s Family

Adopted in God’s family
What a privilege that is
To know the love of brethren
And know that we are His

Each one of us, unique by grace
That we might do His will
And as we grow in love
It’s love in others we instill

Each of us has a part to play
His purpose to achieve
For we’re all called to service
In the Kingdom of God’s peace

One in mind and one in purpose
One in love and faithfulness
Unified in Word and spirit
As we strive for holiness

Each preferring one another
Lifting up the fallen one
Strengthening the weaker members
Never putting others down

Showing due respect to leaders
As we cover them in prayer
For they teach, instruct, admonish us
Because they really care

Not neglecting gifts and callings
They were given lovingly
Encouraging each other
With a Word or prophesy

Forgiving one another
When offence would have its way
Giving no place to the devil
As God guides us every day

A whole Lot Less of Me

A whole lot less of me, I pray
A whole lot more of Thee
Until the image I portray
Is Jesus Christ in me

And may I die to my own will
Till Your will floods my soul
And I do only what You say
That I may be made whole

Till every thought is captive
To obedience of Your Word
And I am fully armored
And efficient with my sword

When Your World comes Tumbling Down

When your world comes tumbling down
And leaves you feeling low
And no-one stops to listen
And you’ve no-where to go

When tears are threatening to fall
Like raindrops in a storm
Life seems to have no purpose
And you wish that you weren’t born

When all your friends have let you down
Your heart has torn in two
Remember there’s a loving God
Who watches over you

If only you would turn to Him
He’ll soothe away your pain
He’ll fill your life with laughter
And love that will not wane

Beautiful Father of Light

My Father, my beautiful Father of light
I strive to do that which is good in Your sight
To be worthy of You and the Name that I bear
To walk in Your truth and to care as You care

My Father of spirits, my Lord whom I fear
My spirit rejoices just knowing You’re here
I want to be like You in each perfect way
Till Yours is the image I always portray

Father of mercy, how wondrous Your way
You discipline me when my feet tend to stray
But You bless me with favour each day anew
And You watch over me in all that I do

The Horror we are Guilty of

The horror we are guilty of
Because of all our sin
The penalty for sin is death
God laid it all on Him

In utmost grace God gave His Son
To be the sacrifice
Because of love too great to tell
He came to pay the price

From Glory came the Word of God
To dwell among His own
Made flesh within a virgin’s womb
To bring His lost sheep home

Though tried and tempted, without sin
He came to set us free
And bravely staggered ‘neath our load
Of sin to Calvary

Excruciating though the pain
His heart was filled with love
Forgive them for their sin, He cried
And God heard from above
