Poetry
There’s none can snatch me from GOD’S hand
Though my demise the enemy planned
Whom the Son sets free is free indeed
The devil’s wiles I will not heed
Through fire and water I have come
The devil’s plans failed one by one
In the midst of the valley of the shadow of death
GOD laid me a table and gave me rest
Greater the One who lives in my heart
Than all the armies that hell could impart
If GOD be for me then whom shall I fear
Though the world turns against me, His love draws me near
With His Word as my sword and faith as my shield
Where He leads I will follow for my life I yield
To my Saviour, Deliverer, Father and King
For He is my first love, He’s my everything
Thank-you, Father GOD, that You spread Your protection over me and surround me with Your favour as with a shield. Thank-you that whatever trial I might face today, I will not face it alone, for Your presence is always with me.
You are my ever present help in times of trouble.
You walk with me on the mountain heights and also in the darkest valleys.
You never leave me, nor forsake me.
You know my going out and my coming in.
There is nothing hidden from Your sight.
I love You, Father.
All glory, honour and praise Belongs to You alone. Amen
I confronted the enemy of my soul
And I took back all that he stole
In every area of my life
He’s tried to cause mayhem and strife
The enemy’s underneath my feet
I laugh in derision at his defeat
He came to steal, kill and destroy
But all he’s managed is to annoy
He sees me as a human being
But I’m a daughter of the King
Eternal spirit clothed in skin
And I have victory over him
For Jesus Christ has made me whole
To be like Him is my life’s goal
I walk within His power and might
And daily I am His delight
Love is the Father creating the Earth
Creating the Universe
Love is the Father creating man
Love is God’s perfect plan
Love is Christ Jesus being virgin born
In a stable, Christ suffering scorn
Love is my Lord laying hands on the sick
The Christ giving strength to the weak
Love is my Saviour falsely accused
In silence accepting abuse
Love is Christ Jesus, scourged, mocked and in pain
Spat upon, bruised and shamed
Love is the crown of thorns that He wore
The cruel cross that Jesus bore
Love is His grace on the cross to a thief
His death for our unbelief
Love is the gaping wound in His side
The Bridegroom’s love for His Bride
Love is forgiveness for all of our sin
Our life everlasting with Him
