Category: Teaching to stand on the Word

We were made righteous when Jesus was made sin.

On that memorable day, while our Saviour hung on the cross in agony, His body wracked with pain and weakened by the terrible torture and blood loss, the skies darkened as fallen angels filled the air. Every demonic force in the universe congregated above Golgotha and the surrounding areas. Each one of them was excited, eager and willing to bombard the holy, sinless body of Jesus with their filth of sin. They knew that He was exhausted and in acute pain, thirsty and sapped of physical strength. They had waited to destroy the seed of the woman for four thousand years. They had killed all the prophets in an effort to get rid of the Chosen One. Now was their time, they reasoned among themselves. Surely with such a brutal attack they would cause Him to sin. Surely He would curse GOD and die. After all, how could one man stand against the entire kingdom of Hell, especially in such a weakened state?

For three hours they bombard Jesus. Sin, condemnation, selfishness, covetousness, idol worship, foul language, lies, deceit, adultery, theft, murder, hatred, confusion, gossip, backbiting, pride, death,………The attack went on for what must have seemed like an eternity to Jesus, until He cried out in despair, “My GOD, My GOD, why have You forsaken me?” For the first time in His life, He couldn’t address GOD as Father. He had taken our place, taken all of our sin upon Him. He could no longer feel the presence of GOD, because the thick, evil darkness covered Him. He was experiencing separation from GOD. This was something Jesus had never before experienced. He and His Father had always lived in complete unity. Jesus had never sinned. Hell was incapable manipulating Him to sin, but the punishment for our sin was upon Him. After the demons had poured out every conceivable sin within them upon Jesus, the demons left, and the skies cleared.

Jesus then shouted with a loud voice, “It is finished! He was proclaiming that the debt had been paid in full. Immediately after, Jesus bowed His head and said, “Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit.” and died.  Jesus couldn’t die by human hands, as He had never sinned and the punishment for sin is death. He had to choose to lay down His life.

We cannot become more righteous than we are by works. We cannot add to the finished work of the cross. We are already made the righteousness of GOD and that not of our own effort. The closer we draw to Jesus, the more our righteousness becomes visible, as it begins to shine more brightly through the veil of our flesh. We will continuously go from brighter to brighter, from strength to strength and from glory to glory as we keep our eyes and hearts on the precious, unadulterated Word of GOD until His perfect image is fully revealed in us. All glory, honour and strength be to our GOD forever and ever. Amen.

Abiding in the Vine

Jesus ANSWERED the fig tree.
Q 1] What did the tree say to Him?
2] What was He reacting to?

Everything speaks to us, EG: Our circumstances, our obstacles, & our challenges.
Science has proven that everything consists of sound waves and that different objects emit different sounds.
EVERYTHING speaks.
Ever seen the look of hopelessness in a child’s face or, for that matter, the look of pure joy? Fear speaks to us and if we do not know how to react to it, it will overtake us.
The fig tree was saying it had no fruit for Jesus. No tasty fruit, not even green, hard figs; nor overripe nor even rotten ones.
Luke 13:9 and if it bears fruit, well: and if not, then after that you shall cut it down.
Jesus cursed the tree because it bore no fruit. As long as we abide in the Vine we will bear much fruit without even trying.
The tree had borne nothing at all. Like a tree, we too must bear fruit.
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in me.
If we do not abide in the Father’s love, we will not bear fruit
John 15:2 every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit. John 15:6  If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
Our lip service has little worth if our words are not accompanied by our actions. I am not referring to good works in order to earn God’s love. Rather, I am referring to an overflow of the love of God in us which manifests as fruit. When the fruits first appear, they are tiny, but as they are continually fed by the Vine, they steadily grow into ripe succulent fruit, fit for the Master’s use. It is not our words that speak the loudest, but rather our fruit, or lack of fruit.
Luke 6:44 for every tree is known by his own fruit.
John 3:5  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
John 3:6 that which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:15 whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:19 and this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
John 3:20 for every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
John 3:21 but he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in me.
John 3:19 and this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
John 3:20 for every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
John 3:21 but he that does truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Salvation is not assured by answering an altar call because of fear of going to hell and then going on your merry old way without giving the commitment you’ve made at the altar a second thought. It must be accompanied by a decision to follow Jesus. More than that, there must be a change within.
All that God ever wanted from us is to love Him above all else; and to love one another as we love ourselves. Jesus knew when He gave us these commandments, that it would be a work in progress. He also knew that continually abiding in Him would result in us manifesting this love. We cannot love in this way of our own accord. It is God’s love flowing through us. Even as the fruit is dependant on the vine for life giving nourishment, we are dependant on the true Vine in the same way.
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man loves me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
John 14:24 He that does not love me, does not keep not my word: and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
Keep abiding in the Vine. Stay in His love and He will take you from glory to glory as you keep your eyes on the One who loves you with a perfect, everlasting love.

Don’t Limit GOD to Your Own Understanding

Don’t limit GOD to your own understanding.

In GOD all things are possible. Just trust in Him with all of your heart and lean not unto your own understanding, and He will take you to heights above all you can think of, ask for, or imagine. GOD is faithful and all of His promises are true.

Seeds affect ideas and produce your lifestyle and your vision. One wrong seed can keep you bound for the rest of your life. For example: I’m not good enough, not educated enough; I’ll never amount to anything; I’ll never succeed, I’m stupid.

These seeds of doubt, low self esteem and low self worth; and also seeds of self condemnation, are weeds that do not belong in the garden of your life. Often these seeds have been planted by others. Maybe a parent or a teacher told you these things.

It’s time to get rid of the weeds.  You have been born again of incorruptible seed. You have your Heavenly Father’s DNA. None of the weeds should be a part of your life. Start planting seeds that are positive in the places where you’ve plucked out the weeds.

Read what the Word says about you. That is the only mirror of life that you should be looking into. Your Father is the King of kings and Lord of lords. You are the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. The blood has washed away all of your sin, so there’s no reason for self condemnation. Walk with your head held high. It’s not just a sign of self confidence; it will keep your eyes focused on God, instead of on all the negativity that tries to get your attention. God loves you as you are, but too much to leave you in one spot. He will continuously lead you to higher ground.

GOD IS THE CREATOR OF EVERY MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE.

How many moments do you waste on things that reduce your quality of life; things that steal, kill and destroy your peace, your joy and even your health?
Every moment GOD is consumed with loving thoughts of you.
How many moments do you spend in loving thoughts of HIM?
How many moments do you spend in meditation regarding HIS will in your life? How many moments do you spend in sincere prayers of thanksgiving, for all the blessings that you have received, or in praise and worship both in the Spirit and in your mother tongue, before HIS throne of grace?

Allow GOD to be your guide, your protector, Your physician, your financial adviser and, most importantly, your beloved.
There are treasures beyond all you can imagine in GOD’S Word. Search the Scriptures daily so that you might obtain wisdom in all that you do.
Remember that moments wasted in running after things that cannot satisfy can never be recaptured.
Spend your moments wisely.

True worship is about realizing and recognizing what GOD has done for us and giving Him thanks even before the manifestation of these things. GOD has already supplied everything we’ll ever need in life, according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus and is waiting to see how we’ll respond. Faith is a positive response to what Grace has already done for us.

Fasting for it, continuously asking for it in prayer, or trying to get GOD to do it, won’t work, just as worshiping in order to receive our needs or desires, won’t work.
We need to see what GOD has done through eyes of faith, that is, believing that which we do not see.
Let us praise and worship Him with thankful hearts, knowing that all of His promises are true.
Fully trust Almighty GOD, our Everlasting Father, for His finished work.
This is the highest form of faith.

‘Peace I Leave with You

‘Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.’
John 14:27
Peace is not an absence of trouble. It’s finding peace in the eye of the storm. It’s walking in peace in the midst of turmoil. This peace is a peace that surpasses all understanding. [Phil. 4:7] This is a peace that guards our hearts and minds, so that we do not stress by dwelling on the problem, but live in peace by being focused on the solution as we keep our eyes on Jesus, the Author and finisher of our faith.

Therefore I Urge You, Brothers

Therefore I urge you, brothers, in view of GOD’S mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to GOD – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what GOD’S will is – His good, perfect and pleasing will.
Romans 12:1-2
It’s not by trying, but by dying. We are transformed and our mind renewed, when we spend time in the Word of GOD and in His presence. Anything we try to change in our own strength, is going to fail.
Any fruit we bare by works, belongs to the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Such fruit might look good for a while, but it’s going to end up rotting.
If we’re to bare Holy Spirit fruit, we need to walk in the Spirit every day. It is, after all, Holy Spirit’s fruit, not our own. His fruit is holy and eternal as it grows on the Tree of Life. We cannot bare this fruit, if we are not abiding in the Tree.
Stay blessed with every Spiritual blessing as you abide in the shadow of the ALMIGHTY GOD.

Oh LORD GOD of Israel, there is no GOD like You

Oh LORD GOD of Israel, there is no GOD like You on Heaven or on Earth – You who keep Your covenant of love with Your servants who continue wholeheartedly in Your way. You have kept Your promise to Your servant David my father; with Your mouth You have promised and with Your hand You have fulfilled it – as it is today.
2 Chronicles 14-15
Praise GOD who always fulfills His promises!
GOD is not a man that He should lie. Every promise He has made, He keeps. If He said it, you can rest assured He’ll bring it to pass. Trust in Him with all of your heart and don’t look to your own understanding. He is more than your GOD. He is also your Heavenly Father who loves you as much as He loves Jesus. There is nothing you cannot talk to Him about. He knows all of your yesterdays and all of your tomorrows. Nothing is hidden from His sight. There is no problem too big for Him to solve, no darkness so deep that His light cannot penetrate it and remove it from your life. GOD said that the work that He started in your life when you gave you heart to, Him, He will bring to completion. Discover His promises as you read the Bible and meditate on them continuously. Speak the Word and claim the Truth in your life and see the glory of GOD as He brings each one them to pass.

Seeing Then That We Have a Great High Priest

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the Heavens, Jesus, the Son of GOD, let us hold fast to our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly to the Throne of Grace, that we might obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Jesus understands our every weakness, and how easy it is to fall into temptation, because He was tempted too. On the cross, He took all our sin and transgressions and nailed it in His own body to the cross. There is nothing that we have done, or will do, that He doesn’t already know. It His His blood that is forever on the Mercy Seat. It is His blood that has washed us whiter than snow, leaving no trace of sin. When we come into the presence of GOD, we come as blood washed, blood bought children of the Most High GOD. That is why GOD’S unending grace [His unmerited favour and blessing] is always available to us.
When we can comprehend this, our consciences will stop condemning us, reminding us of past sin and telling us that we are unworthy to receive anything significant from our Heavenly Father. It is then that we will feel free to come boldly before before the throne of God.

THANK-YOU, LORD, FOR YOUR FAITHFULNESS.

Thank you Lord for Your faithfulness.
When we speak these words in praise from the heart, we not only express, but also increase our dedication to the LORD. In saying this, we recognize that all we have, comes as a result of GOD’S promises to us – as a result of His faithfulness in our lives. This type of praise recognizes that we can be dedicated to GOD, because He is dedicated to us. This type of praise recognizes that He is dedicated to our joy, our peace and our growth and that GOD has dedicated Himself to our personal joy and fulfillment.
How dedicated is GOD? [Romans 8:32] says: He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him, freely give us ALL things?
GOD is FAITHFUL. He deserves the praise and the glory for His unwavering faithfulness.
